Ultra Rare Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk Watch Available On eBay
This is why I love eBay, cause stuff like this shows up on it, and I have no idea how. You know that I love the Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk watch that I initially discussed here, and then once again here when I announced that Seiko was going to offer a limited edition Spacewalk Commemorative Edition of 100 pieces. Seiko originally made just 6 of the watches. It was made for Richard Garriot and worn by him into space. That specific piece sold for over $45,000 several months ago. It now looks one of the rare 100 Commemorative Edition pieces is being auctioned off on eBay, brand new. Starting bid is $27,500 - just shy of the roughly $28,000 - $29,000 that the new Spacewalk Commemorative Edition models retail for being just now released. 100 pieces, and they are going to very hard to find.So if you want one of the new Seiko Spring Drive Spacewalk Commemorative Edition watches made to go into space, or where ever else you might find yourself, check out the eBay page here. Stowa Wants You To Design Their Next Watch
I'm sure we've all at one point dreamt of designing and manufacturing our very own watch. I know I have a few scribbles and sketches stashed away somewhere in my apartment. But for most of us, the thought of having to deal with suppliers and manufacturers is often enough to keep us just dreaming. Now Stowa, one of our favorite German watchmakers, is about to simplify the entire process with a design contest open to the public, with the winning submission to be realized by the brand. The contest, in collaboration with Watchtime, launched on July 17th and will be open for submissions until the 30th. By mid August, the 10 most popular designs will be put up for a vote on Watchtime.net, with the winning design to be sold through Watchtime.net's online shop. The winner will receive the watch for free, valued at around EUR 1,000. Runner-ups will get vouchers from the brand. If you'd like to participate, you can download the case template from Stowa's contest site. Fret not if you don't have an
Review of AP Royal Oak Skeleton Rose Gold 15305OR + DSLR Shots!
My third Audemars Piguet watch has turned out to be my most exciting and enticing timepiece till date. After having own it a month, it is time for a review and a full DSLR shot coverage to do full justice to it’s beauty. In this review, most of the close-up shots were taken with a Nikon 5100DSLR fitted with a Nikkor 105mm microlens. Others were taken using my new Fuji X-100S 35mm camera. Overview Skeleton watches have existed in horological history for eons. The art of skeletonization calls for stripping away the watch’s dial to reveal the beauty of the movement. High end watch makers like Audemars Piguet goes a step further by also extensively decorating the movement. In this case, a galvanized anthracite finish is applied to the movement parts. The end result is one extremely beautiful timepiece that is more a work of art then a watch. The reference for this watch is 15305OR which comes in a RoseGold case and leather strap. There is also a 15305ST which is in stainless st
5711 bracelet sizing question
Hi all,I have the newer 5711 with the pins that hold the bracelet links together. Anyone here have any tips or advice on sizing this bracelet. What tools are required? I can always bring it to my AD and get it done but I always like adjusting straps/bracelets on my own. Thanks!
