In collaboration with the prestigious and historic Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux, watches-dealer invites our friends and fans to an evening event in New York City on Thursday July 25th, 2013. We will celebrate summer and timepieces starting at the Girard-Perregaux boutique on Madison Avenue, to be followed next door at Club Macanudo. watches-dealer's Ariel Adams will be on hand for the event, along with John Biggs (HourTime co-host) and other other watches-dealer team members.This is a chance to meet other watch lovers and experience summer 'Girard-Perregaux style' with watches, seafood, and Rum (sponsored by Diplomatico). Anyone had any success with them?I have a 15300 and always struggled a bit with the fitment. Now that I have a couple of other pieces with the glidelock, it has become even more evident. Two links out, its somewhat of a bracelet and slides down to my hand too much and crown dig happens. Three links out and good when my wrist is straight but any movement and it is too tight, leaving an impression on my wrist. So I think the 1.5 link is the answer but curious if anyone here has had any success with them before I order from APNA. Thanks in advance! Photo below for reference, this is with 3 links out. Talked with Jim today and his health is slowly improving. He begins more therapy on the 24th but is living without the back brace for now.Business-wise, he has to vacate his retail space the end of April. Double the pleasure = Daytona SS ceramic 116500 white + ?
My AD has been very good to me this year!I received a call from my friendly AD asking me if I wanted an early Xmas present to accompany my Daytona SS ceramic in white that I picked up in February. ABSOLUTELY!! Even with the apparent scarcity of many SS models at ADs around the world, my AD received recently some pieces and gave me the opportunity to purchase a Daytona SS ceramic in BLACK!I thought my watch budget was all used up in 2017 but how do you turn down owning both new Daytonas in white AND black dials! Without a doubt I have been very fortunate this year :)Both white and black dials are stunning. I still like the white dial more; however, the understated black dial is growing on me and definitely wears differently and visually larger on the wrist. Time will tell which one I prefer more.
