Christie’s 2010 Watch Sales Highest Ever at $91 Million
Christie's wrapped up a record-breaking year for fine timepieces, realizing $91.2 million in total sales �C the highest annual total ever for the the global auction house. Patek Philippe dominated the results, capturing each of the year’s top 10 positions for wristwatch sales. In all, five Pateks sold for more than $1 million apiece. Christie’s achieved more world records in 2010 than any other auction house, and every sale saw a sell-through rate of more than 90 percent by value. The top watch of the year was a unique Patek Philippe ref. 1527 perpetual calendar chronograph manufactured in 1943 that achieved a record $5.7 million at Christie's Geneva sale.A Patek Philippe ref. 2523 “world time” manufactured in 1953 finished in second position. Polishing the PO
Hey guys just got my PO lat week and was wondering what you guys do to polish it if it gets little swirls or scratches on the polished mirror edges. I know it's gonna drive me crazy when it happens. Thx for any input

Double Incoming - really pleased
Guys, I have been looking at the 5170 for quite some time. Love the manual wind, always been a sucker for Chronographs. Recently I found myself in need of a white metal dress watch. This was enough to push me over the edge, while I love the 5496 & 5396 and there exists other cool references, the chrono makes this so much superior IMO.While I was there I could help myself and had to pick up a little 'beater' too. Not sure it will last that long but I never see them, I know they are tough to find, not 5711 tough but tough nonetheless. Thought it would be a good pick up. I have a goal to get down to five watches, all watches I love. Adding to it makes it tougher but this purchase is truly over due. Now I need to keep finding ways to trim it down or do I just surrender. I seem to be loading up on Patek lately. Really want another AP RG 44.
