Introducing The Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph, 40mm And Just Right (Live Pics, Specs, Official Pricing)
This is the chronograph we have been waiting for from Cartier. The Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph is round, 40 mm in diameter, uses Cartier's great in-house caliber 1904-CH, and looks fantastic. 2 OF 4 When we reviewed the Calibre de Cartier Chronograph here, we agreed that though the merits of the excellent in-house chronograph movement were very real selling points, there was a lack of design cohesiveness throughout the piece-seen primarily on the dial. Here, the Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph provides us with a more balanced, traditional dial with the full Roman numeral treatment, silvered outer minute track, and Breguet hands. 3 OF 4 The 40 mm case is wonderfully balanced, and the rectangular pushers are incredibly subtle from the front of the case looking at the watch. Inside the Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph is the same great 1904-CH self-winding movement from the Calibre Chrono. Here though, it actually fills up more of the case than with the Calibre
New Leather Watch Roll
Picked up a beautiful Dunhill leather 3 watch roll today. If anyone is looking for a very nice roll at a good price I would recommend this. Took me a long time to find one I like. Carbon look leather, nicely lined, great pad for your watches. Will post some better shots with the team later.
How tough is an Avenger Blackbird
I bought myself a new Sub earlier this year and love it, wear it all the time when not at work as it's not quite the right look for a cell block and it's nice to have an out of wor watch. However since buying I do sort of now have a bit of a watch thing going on (like joining this forum) and quite fancy a really nice piece of daily workwear. Love the look of these and was wondering how tough is the finish / glass etc on an Avenger Blackbird?
Considering moving to an Aquanaut from DSSD
I'm basically no lonet happy with Rolex, especially the new oils, new flaws, and what's looking to be much more frequent servicing ....Give me some ups and downs on the Aquanaut. . And approximate used value on a stainless piece. Rubber strapBelieve it or not, it's by far my favorite Patek piece. Time to step away from this DSSDThanks all
5712 ordered
Placed the order today, for the 5712 SS, should be here when I come back to Paris end of September, very excited Of course this means that I will need to flip a few pieces to keep a normal financial level, but I can sell them after getting the PP, so no hurry there.Decided I prefer to have few watches than many, especially some haven't gotten any wrist time for a few months. Will be selling 2 Panerai, 233 and 28, possibly also my 82 shadow case, very rare watch, as well as my Blancpain, they should arrive next week, which should leave me with my PP, Rolex Daytona 116515, sub C LN and BLNR.Am even thinking of selling my Daytona rose gold, I know it's a beautiful piece, but I rarely have the occasion to put it, Paris or Odessa are not the best places to be going around with a gold watch, in 1 year we are going to live in Thailand, even though the criminality is very low there they are very good at steeling gold chains or watchesIf I sell the Daytona would probably buy an Aquanaut SS rubb
