Incoming: New (Old) Addition
Saw this for sale and could pass it up. 1980's Colt M50035 military. It's a beater and that's part of what I like about it. It's got 30 years worth of character. Works beautifully.
So clean
as it can be.
Nautilus scratch advice
So, most are aware of my saga; my 3 day old nautilus was scratched. The AD kindly said to bring it back in and they would buff it out. Seems to be a simple 10 minute process. But, when I went to the PP salon about it, they said that they have to remove the glass and polish the case separately. They also would advice against a full buffing, as it removes material and that I should wait for the 4-year service to buff. They said the watch is going to get scratched anyway, so no need to remove the material prematurely. What do you guys think? Am i being neurotic? Do, I just deal with scratch? Should I go to AD to get it buffed (seems like a spot bluff rather than a full polishing).
5167 bracelet removal.. Help pls...
I need to replace the strap on my 5167. Was too agressive on the sizing and warmer weather has already shown me the error of my ways.Having a devil of a time getting the strap off, and afraid I'll scratch up the lugs or case. I am using a bergeon 6825 with fine forks - is there a better tool for this job? Maybe I just lack patience & fine motor skills. Any tips/tricks from fellow owners/others would be greatly appreciated. Going to have another go at it this weekend when I have more time. Thanks!
Nautilus 5711j yellow gold...what to pay?
Hi guys,New to the forum. I have been looking at the PP Nautilus 5711j yellow gold. I realized that it has been discontinue, so a pre-own would be fine. What kind of reliabilty should I expect? What would be a reasonable/fair price to pay? I understand that each one may vary, so let's assume one in mint condition with all of it's boxes and papers. Yes, I have done many searches to find some sort of price scale but would appreciate insight from the enthusiast on the board. thanks in advance,Rey
