Visit To The Richard Mille Watch Manufacture
It may be a bold statement, but I like to think about the brand Richard Mille as both the jester and the rocket scientist within the fictional realm of haute horlogerie.?Since its launch?in 2001, and especially during the last couple of years, it has not only dreamt big time and time again, bringing down at least some of the old-fashioned walls which?older governors of fine watch making had built around themselves, but also had the know-how to back up those extremely bold ideas and realize them.Probably the first logical question that springs to mind upon a first encounter with the brand is the question of "why?" as in, why?would anyone build?their company?on the fundaments of admittedly?and consistently bold designs and ideas coupled with?luxury pricing? Time provided the answer: because it works. The first page in the success story of the luxury sports watch has arguably been written by the Royal Oak of Audemars Piguet, demonstrating the validity of this market segment. should i send in for b1 water test
Thank you in advance for the answers, I just picked up a ROO 44 SS, and its almost out of 3rd year warranty, should I bother sending it in for the b1 service, it has never been done, or just keep wearing it until an issue pops up. APSC had my diver back in about 4 weeks when sent in for the b1, but not sure if I need to do it with the 44. Hate to lose it for a month or longer.
First Omega in Space - finally
Back in 2006, I was able to obtain a set of original NOS CK 2998 hands and a friend gave me a cal 861 movement. The plan was to assemble my second project watch which was to be a commemorative of Wally Schirra's Mercury-Atlas 8 flight.I even designed a special case back but unlike the Omega design (which isn't that bad), I used the flight patch logo of Sigma 7 in the center with this wording around the edge: THE FIRST - SPEEDMASTER - IN SPACE - SCHIRRA - MERCURY-ATLAS 8 - OCT. 3, 1962.Here is a photo of the first attempt to fabricate the back:Circumstances precluded completion of my project but I am more than pleased with Omega's upcoming release. I have already placed my order.Fr. John?
