Which is "the" Speedy to get and why!?
Hey all,I'm considering getting my first speedy and I can't decide what to get... 321, 861... the newest (whats it called? a 3057.50)?Please let me know your thoughts. What is the speedmaster to buy and why? Thanks!!
My favourite daily wearer
I have always admired Panerai, been on the panerai threads many times before asking advice on which model I should get. I acquired this 112 around 2 months ago and it has basically been on my wrist constantly for everything. My rolex have had zero wrist time recently. They are a surprisingly comfortable daily wearer. Maybe it's still the honeymoon period so I am giving it another 4 months before I start looking for a partner for the 112, but I can't see a rolex coming anytime soon, I can only see panerai on the horizon
Just saw the 590
Just saw the 590 on hodinkee. My first thoughts. Wow. This is how the 8 days should be written. Classic Panerai style. I like it. What do you think?Sent with iPhone using Tapatalk
Flip a HULK...??
Would anyone ever flip a HULK and if so for what?
great article and question
Saw this today:https://.hodinkee/articles/ta...gs-really-meanhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_...tches_standardSo:Shock resistance. This is tested by two shocks (one on the 9 o'clock side, and one to the crystal and perpendicular to the face). The shock is usually delivered by a hard plastic hammer mounted as a pendulum, so as to deliver a measured amount of energy, specifically, a 3 kg hammer with an impact velocity of 4.43 m/s. The change in rate allowed is 60 seconds/day.Resistance to salty water. The watches under test shall be put in a 30 g/l NaCl (sodium chloride) solution and kept there for 24 hours at 18 to 25 C. This test water solution has salinity comparable to normal seawater. After this test, the case and accessories shall be examined for any possible changes. Moving parts, particularly the rotating bezel, shall be checked for correct functioning.Do they really expect to see any changes to the Rolex or any watch for slat water after 24 hours? not sure, just curious
