Baselworld 2015: The Breitling Chronoliner Takes Flight
Breitling looks to be emphasizing its history in 2015, with a number of watches that highlight the brand’s heritage in tool watches and precision timing devices. Sometimes that means revamping or reissuing classic models �C one of which we’ve recently discussed here. But it can also mean introducing a new line that harks back to vintage design elements and a classic functionality. In that vein, Breitling gives us a new collection: the Breitling Chronoliner.The Breitling Chronoliner is intended as a pilots’ watch, but maybe not how you’d think of that category most often. Whereas pilots’ watches today are usually designed to emphasize the more technical aspects of aviation, Breitling links the Chronoliner to the golden age of flight and the expansion of commercial air travel in the middle of the 20th century. Any Seamaster 2254.50 Mods?
So I've had my 2254.50 for nearly 12 years now. Recently, it's been replaced by an Explorer II as a daily wearer. I'd like to bring it back into the circulation but wanted to make a few changes. Any mods out there? PVD coating? A nice rubber strap? Etc.I swapped out for a fake-rubber strap that I'm not too keen on - any links to nice ones (e.g. a Rubber-B one). Just checking.

Hulk is looking too Hulkish!?!
I've had an interesting turn of events. I've always considered myself a 6-digit guy . Many years ago, my first Professional model was a 16610 and I never really bonded with it. It was sold after a few months. Since then I had always gone for 6-digit models and really loved the look and feel. Over the course of the last few months I've acquired a 16610LV and just a few days ago a 16710 and I think I'm starting to really appreciate the smaller case and less blingy features. I've always loved the Hulk. That green sunburst dial is amazing. But since spending more time with my 5-digits I'm beginning to think the hulk is a little too Hulky (lol). I decided to take the LVc with me on our vacation this week and really put it to the test. I have no intention of selling it but I'm finding my new perspective interesting and I'm hoping to rekindle my love for this awesome watch. My question is how many of you have also gone back and forth between 5 and 6 digit love? What side of the coin did you

Explorer vs. Oyster Perpetual
I will soon be reaching into my wallet to purchase my first Rolex. I'm interested in the Explorer #214270 and the Oyster Perpetual #116000. I have a few questions. Do all authorized dealers in the US have the same price? My local dealer quoted $4,750 (Oyster) and $5,700 (Explorer). Second question--would one of these watches retain it's value better than the other? Any comments on either (or both) watches would be appreciated. Thanks
