THE AP BUG HAS TAKEN HOLD.......I AM HOOKEDYes I'll unwrap/desticker it soon
To my AP friends
Hopefully the mods will give me some latitude here as this isn't strictly AP related, but I wanted to share with my friends on the AP forum that I got engaged last night! I managed to make it to 42 years old without being married, but I am finally growing up! I thoughts watches were expensive until I discovered the world of diamonds! Please raise a virtual glass with me to celebrate!
Possible Vintage Frankenwatch? Thoughts?
Cleaning up my wife's late grandma's house, we came across this watch. It's marked Omega 17 Jewel Incabloc. Feels a bit light compared to my vintage Seamaster (166.0209). I'm taking it tomorrow to my watchmaker to have a pro look at it. Anyway, I can't seem to find any info on this watch. My guess it's a frankenwatch or a re-done dial. It's not quartz or automatic, it's a wind-up. Any thoughts would be great! Thanks, Cliff
Nice Nautilus article in PP Magazine
A nice piece on the Nautilus and on Genta's love for what he called his masterpiece.
Pepsi GMT Jubilee SS Cerachrom wait list story...
I emailed my sales associate letting them know of my interest in this piece. She emailed back a couple hours later (at 7:30am local time) saying of course I'll get it as they know how I have been waiting on this piece for years. It was an excellent and simple sales experience.I think I might pop in for an hour or two to get a complimentary Diet Coke (with ice).
