Not many Breitling fans here?
Seems like Breitling isn't very popular on this forum. I visit other places and it gets more attention. I know this is a Rolex forum but just the same I wear more than just Rolex.Unfortunately my Colt is getting serviced and my new Chronomat should be here this week so no pictures for the moment.I like Breitling how about you?
Why am I not excited about the new Planet Ocean GMT?
It boils down to this:As we would say in the southern US, Rolex done good with this GMT. The case is a well proportioned 42mm in diameter and a comfortable 12.5mm thick which is noticeably thinner than either my Speedy Pro or Planet Ocean. The oyster bracelet gracefully extends from the 21mm lugs to the 18mm wide Easylink clasp with solid screws holding the removable links in place. The clasp has three micro-adjustments in addition to the flip feature that adds another 5mm if your wrist happens to swell in the heat of the day. The benefits of the 904L stainless steel Rolex compared to the 316L Omega SS have been greatly debated but although on paper both grades have the same level of harness, the Rolex clasp and bracelet seem less susceptible to desk diver dings and scratches than my PO LM LE.This model 216570 incorporates the latest cal. 3167 movement with new Paraflex system for absorbing and nullifying the effects of shock on the balance wheel. Patek AD Visit
I stopped by my AD today just to look around. I hadn't been there for quite awhile. It's a good thing too as they just recieved a couple of Pateks. This is the first time I had ever seen a Patek Chronograph in person. They just recieved a 5170 which they had ordered 2 years ago. Gorgeous watch, I'm sure someone will purchase it fairly soon. They had a couple of 5130's, and a 5205 Annual which looked real nice. Then he showed me a 5726 which was real intriguing. Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures but I really did enjoy my visit, I definitely saw more than what I expected to see.
