Chronoswiss Sold to Swiss Investor
Munich-based watchmaker Chronoswiss has been sold to Swiss entrepreneur Oliver Ebstein, 37, and his wife Eva Maria. The Lucerne-based owners are new to the watch industry, and they have said that Chronoswiss will be owned by them privately, rather than through their investment company Meru AG. “Chronoswiss is to be retained as an independent family. It is our great pleasure to introduce ourselves here to get involved in the long term, and sooner or later to direct the company itself. We want to continue the tradition of using high-quality mechanical watch components. Therefore, we look forward to working together with all employees on the success of Chronoswiss,” said Oliver Ebstein.Former Chronoswiss managing director Pete Josef Burgmayer remains on board, though Sigrun Schilling-Heinen will not continue with the firm. Patek Philippe versus Breguet
All,I am weighing the purchase of a Patek Philippe 5396R or 5712R (fitted with Calibers 324 and 240) against a Breguet Classique 7337 (fitted with Caliber 502). I would very much welcome feedback on the relative quality, reliability and level of finishing of Breguet's movements against those of Patek Philippe, particularly with reference to the cited Calibers to the extent possible.Thank you in advance!

Rolex diameter choices
Does anyone know how does Rolex dictate what watches get what diameters? I'm a part of the small wrist gang, 7in, and would love to see Rolex make some 37s-39s, especially in GMTs and Subs. However, if Rolex came out with the Deepsea 116660 in a 38in...I would camp outside the AD. I like the new subs, but not a fan of the tankery on my wrist. I hope Rolex comes out with a slimmer case (already a thread about this) and/or a smaller diameter, 38in.
