Breguet introduced somewhat of a show-stopper with its new 7077 La Tradition Chronograph this year. The La Tradition line is no stranger to innovation - e.g. the Fusée Tourbillon - but the 7077 Chronograph represents quite a bit of technical innovation. For starters, it essentially contains two movements and a complete separation of timekeeping versus chronograph-ing accuracy. Literally. One balance is always in full swing, while the other springs into higher-frequency action when activating the chronograph. 1 OF 3 The new 7077 Chronograph is almost completely open-worked. Front and center at 12 o'clock is a sub dial with hob-nail pattern guilloche work in the expected Breguet style. Hello all,I am new to this forum as well as the world watches. A brief introduction of myself - I am a recent college graduate currently working in healthcare in a non-clinical department office setting. The first watch I ever owned was a Tag Heuer Series 6000, I don't remember the model offhand but it had a green face with a stainless steel case/bracelet with gold accent. I purchased it from someone at work for $350. It was definitely legit, had all the papers, etc.. I kept it for several months, got impatient and sold it for $550 on eBay. A part of me has regretted that decision since I really loved how it fit. With the money I made from that, I bought another watch of which I can't say because it would be an embarrassment to these forums. Anyway, that watch barely lasted a month before I dropped it and it broke. I am now watchless. A little more about me - I am a tall guy standing at 6 foot 8 and the Tag resembled a woman's watch on my wrist, hence another reason why I sold it.So no

How blessed we are...
I wanted to do a thread on how we consider our Patek collection and how we feel about it.I consider myself extremely blessed and fortunate to be the owner of these 2 magnificent, in my opinion of course, Pateks which for many is the Rolls Royce of watches and I tend to agree.I never thought that I would have a watch which would cost more than 15K, and now I have these 2 great Pateks which are clearly my 2 favorite Pateks, all collection included, I prefer my 5712 to a 5970 for example, also I am lucky in the sense that I don't have to compromise on anything when I got my 2 Pateks as they are really the Pateks I prefer, the design, quality and finish is just perfect, you really feel that you have a superior quality time piece on your wrist.Every time I look at my Pateks, it just puts a smile on my face and I think to myself that life is good and I am a very lucky man, I own the 2 watches I prefer and will probably get the 3rd in RG, hence the 5167R which is also a beauty.Some of us are

Decision time
Ok, tomorrow is decision time.I already know how this poll will end but sitting here on vacation with a drink in hand, I need to ask the forum for some thoughts.I have the opportunity to purchase either a 5711 Nautilus in white OR a 5167 Aquanaut on the tropical strap. These are the only Patek choices in front of me tomorrow. I am still debating other non Patek watches.I cannot get past the rubber tropical strap. If the Aquanaut were on a bracelet I would just go Nautilus. I like the white dial Nautilus and would have a tough time deciding if the blue were available but I really do like the white.Ok have at it, let me know what you think, thanks!

Would you sell 233 for a Dark Side of the Moon?
I know the watches are very different, but lately the Omega dark side of the moon has really caught my eye, and really conflicted as to whether I should sell my 233K dot dial to fund it. I consider the 233 to be one of Panerai's modern classics, and my only manual wind watch. But the DSotM is just so well constructed, and I really like the all ceramic construction (including pushers, crown, and dial), and both the polished and brushed effects on the watch. It also has a great in-house movement, just like the 233.Unfortunately I can't keep the 233 and get the DSotM, so if you are in my position, would you sell the 233? Appreciate everyone's input and thoughts. Will also post in the Omega sub-forum to see how the reactions differ
