Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept GMT Tourbillon 2014 Watch
For 2014, the Royal Oak Concept watch by Audemars Piguet makes a return. Originally released in 2002, the Royal Oak Concept was penned as an ultra-modern version of the Royal Oak on the 30th Anniversary of the famed Gerald Genta-designed luxury sport watch. watches-dealer covered the last version of the?Royal Oak Concept GMT Tourbillon in 2011 here. The 2014 version is more "summery" than any of the previous models, featuring a titanium case and light white ceramic (for the bezel, crown, pusher, and hourglass-shaped structure on the movement). Inside the watch is the revised original movement with the new Audemars Piguet caliber 2930. The case is 44mm wide but wears quite large due to the large lug structures. In addition to the modern design, the Royal Oak Concept GMT Tourbillon has some interesting features. There is, of course the tourbillon to the left, and to the right is a GMT disc offering a second time zone. The movement has a long power reserve of 10 days between two barrels. A
Oprah Endorses Ugly Tocs Watches
Maybe I cannot actually say that Oprah herself endorses ugly watches; in all likelihood, Oprah has probably never even seen one of these watches. Regardless, her name and image is plastered all over the materials saying that her enterprise endorses these watches. So thus, it is enough for me to say that she herself does in fact endorse these fiendish creations with all her heat. Don't put your name (or allow it to be put) next to something you won't stand by.O, The Oprah Magazine presented its recommendation last month of Tocs watches as part of a story on "the best gifts under $50." It is a line of not so attractive (in my opinion) women's watches that aren't even worth their budget pricing. You also have to check out the Tocs company logo which is laughable. About four minutes on Microsoft Word playing around with the Comic Sans font could have produced something nicer looking. The watches are perfect for children. Not really for adults. They are much more than likely Chinese made (wh
Would you buy? - AP survivor
Hey guys,I went and looked at a AP survivor this weekend. It's got all box/papers and has had one owner (allegedly). The watch however shows a lot of signs of wear. If you look closely the crown protector chipped colors and there are a lot of scratches on it. For those who are formulaic with the watch I have the following Q'a1) can the watch be polished or do the coating does wear off over time? (No idea how blackened titanium polishes)2) would you buy a watch in this condition? (Lots of scratches to the. Are. The crown protector basically chipped colors. The bezel screws are chipping colors)

Patek at Auction Results: What's ahead?
A quick note/thread to discuss some of today's Christie's auction results. I bid on a particular reference today (did not win, but came damned close). Some references seemed to do OK, while others really surprised me on their low price. Yes, it's no secret that Patek sales are slow and auction prices are soft, but some of these results are quite interesting (in particular on the more complicated references) and make me wonder if we will continue to see a downward trend for some iconic and historically auction favorites.Let me know what you think.
