This past weekend, Vacheron Constantin sponsored The New York Observer’s Power 100 party, which recognizes the 100 most influential players in New York City’s real estate industry. The event was held at the 21 Club in midtown Manhattan. Among the hundreds of attendees were Mayor Michael Bloomberg (who dropped from No. 4 in 2009 to No. 9 this year), as well as The Related Companies L.P. Hands-On: With The New A. Lange & S?hne 1815, Downsized To 38.5mm For 2014
Much of the attention given to A. Lange & S?hne focuses on its more complicated watches, like the Pour le M��rite Tourbillon, the Zeitwerk, and even the Grand Complication, but Lange knows how to do simplicity too. At SIHH 2014, Lange released an updated version of the classic time-only 1815 in a smaller 38.5mm case, available in yellow, pink, and white gold. The new 1815 retains many of the design features of its predecessor and will be produced alongside the old 1815 instead of replacing it. Here's a hands-on look at this more classically-sized version of the 1815. 2 OF 6 Last year A. Lange & S?hne updated the 1815 Up/Down, but this release differs in two major ways: 1) The 2013 1815 Up/Down was 3mm larger than its predecessors, jumping from 36mm to 39mm and 2) The new 39mm 1815 Up/Down replaced the 36mm version of the watch. With the new 38.5mm 1815, Lange has actually reduced the case size by 1.5mm but opted to produce both versions of the watch side-by-side, allowing

ROC Panda
Own a ROC Panda and love it but after a while have come to realize I prefer darker dials to white based. At the same time I think the Panda is a classic dial and it's been discontinued. 39mm ROCs with blue and orange dials, blue dial 15300/15400 and all the ROO Divers are all appealing to me. Would you guys switch? What do you think about the ROC Panda vs. those? Others to consider?Thanks

How much did you lose on average?
Not particularly related to Patek...Since I switched from quartz to mechanical watches back in the summer of 2012 (now about 5 years), I have lost about 20 percent of what I invested so far by flipping watches. Which is on average about 4 percent per year.I calculate it as follows: amount spent on mechanical watches minus amount recuperated from selling some of them (ignoring depreciation or appreciation of the watches currently owned but also ignoring inflation or deflation of money).Using this calculation, how much did you lose so far in percentage? Curious to know what people in general lose over a longer period of time (5+ years). Please exclude non-mechanical watches (e.g. Fitbit, Apple Watch, Casio).CheersV.

I know its only been a day and haven't seen it in real life yet (and I truly would like to add the Tudor Pepsi GMT to my collection)But do any of you find the Tudor GMT hand kind of LONG (and actually extends past the minute track)
