Cabestan Nostromo Watch
For 2010 Cabestan brings us something totally new. A fantastic new design dreamed up by talented watch designer Jean-Fran?ois Ruchonnet. Yes, of course, the watch is similar to Cabestan's previous model, the Winch Tourbillon Vertical watch - but is actually more affordable (relatively speaking of course). Gone is the tourbillon, complex winch mechanism and double sapphire crystal over the movement on the face of the watch. Also, instead of the fusee chain transmission is a new gear-shaft style transmission. Cabestan watches are incredibly well finished and made. Much of this is thanks to their in-house master technician Eric Coudray. A classic watch maker by all accords who takes incredible pride in his work. The idea of the Nostromo is be more accessible, mechanically fascinating, and user-friendly. Plus, Cabestan loves the idea of basing the name and design on the spaceship from the classic Alien movie. Time is remarkably easy to read. There are several drums on the dial that are engr
AP 26400 or CLA 45
Hi folks! I need your thoughts and advice for my decision. I am thinking of getting the new CLA 45 AMG, but my heart is telling me to get the AP 26400 SS , and get a Fiat Abarth for the other half.
Which RO should I choose?
Hey,I am about to buy my first AP.Im not sure which one to pick, so I'll let you help me :DIm interested in these:1530015450 26120 26300I dont know so much about the movements, but something makes me think that the movement is better in the 15450 and 15300. I also believe that the 15450 will be harder to sell if I dont like it.The thing is that I have a very long distance to the nearest AD so I cant try them on. I can only say that I have really thin wrists, so Im not sure if the 39mm will be too big. What do you think? Which should I choose and why? Thanks! =)
Getting a Perpetual after an Annual ...
Does it make sense at all? Why would one do that aside from rounding up one's collection? And if it does make sense and was bought both to wear and for one's collection, which PC model appears to be more sensible and why?I welcome any inputs that may be shared by all. Once again, thanks in advance!
My first Rolex - Submariner Date 116610LN
Greetings. I just got into watch collecting this past year and finally pulled the trigger on the Sub Date this past weekend. It's the best all-around watch. I love the bracelet is all brushed so it will wear well with fewer scratches than polished links, etc. I'm afraid I won't want to wear my other watches for some time now. :) And I got a small discount at an area AD where others didn't even have in stock, so I feel confident in my purchase. Happy to be a part of the Rolex family now! :)
