Pre-SIHH 2016: Vacheron Constantin
Vacheron Constantin has just announced that for the 2016 SIHH, they’ll be introducing four new models into the Métiers d'Art Fabuleux Ornements collection. The collection was first introduced two years ago as part of the larger Métiers d'Art collection of timepieces, and basically, they’re intended as a celebration of the decorative arts of different cultures, with Ottoman architecture, Chinese embroidery, Indian manuscript, and French lace. These arts are interpreted through engraving and openworking, as well as through enameling techniques, including cloisonné and champlevé, and guilloché engraving techniques. The new references use the same basic design motifs as the models introduced in 2014, but with variations in colors as well as new case materials. The movement in these watches is Vacheron’s caliber 1003, which was first used by Vacheron in 1955 (and which is the heart of one of their most wonderful watches). At

Temporarily traded by Chrono Avenger
I've temporarily traded my Chrono Avenger for an Omega speedmaster Schumacher Legend on SS bracelet to a collector in Edmonton.Temporarily, meaning both sides have agreed that after two months and if one side decides to want their original babies back, we can do so.I'm waiting for the Speedmaster to arrive and see how it looks and feels. I'm particularly interested in the FP 3301 movement on it with the 9,6 and 3 subdial arrangement with the date at six o'clock. There were reported issues about chrono functionality due to the column wheel, but it has since fixed by Omega. Will post pictures when it comes and we'll see if after two months whether I long for my CA again.
PO 42mm - 2500 vs. 300M
Good day, all.Abqrolexfan posted up pics of his new 300M the other day and I fell in love with the watch - but as a gift for my father. I started looking at the pics of the new 300M in black non-wave dial and really like it, however, the more I looked at it the more I began to wonder if it will be harder for him to read. At age 71, my dad's eyesight is pretty good, but as years move on it may diminish to some extent. So on to the OMega website...Hmmm, the PO 2500 looks like a fantastic option: clearly marked hours, hour & minute hands that are smooth and clean. A very clear and concise layout overall.I guess I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with the heft of the watch or how bulky one may be over the other. Dad doesn't wear a watch, but has been commenting on my Omega ever since I purchased it a few months ago. I know he's gonna love it...he's got an average wrist size and a 41mm vs 42mm won't be much issue. I am thinking the PO may be chunkier than the 300M - would I be
