Erwin Sattler Thesaurus - Ultimate Watch Lover's Desk
OMG, how did I miss this release last year!? I recently learned about the Erwin Sattler Thesaurus desk, and my horology gland nearly burst. OK, so this is the ultimate watch lover's desk. It combines a pair of Erwin Sattler Rotalis winders that pop out of the surface of the desk " take-over-the-world villain" style, and drawers that store you watch related loot.? I have no idea why it is called the "Thesaurus," but I will need to one help explain how awesome this thing is.Part of what makes it awesome is just how utterly impractical it is. To have enough room in one's home for a desk solely dedicated to their watches takes a lot of dedication (which I guess I personally have), and a lot of (I mean a lot) money. Not only is the Thesaurus likely to be ungodly expensive, but to have enough nice watches to fill it with, and some empty space in your home that is dying for watch dedicated furniture. I did the inevitable, burned a hole in my pocket again...
I did it again... Wasn't really interested in this piece at first due to the heft, but after seeing it on the wrist of a certain AP CEO here in HK and him taking it off for me to try again, I did the inevitable....Every time, I tell myself to stop buying, it just doesn't happen...I must say though, it's growing on me every second... The tantalum and rose gold is a great match this way. Not over blingy!

Seamaster 2531.80 Faded Second Hand-Repair?
I am curious if anyone here has ever had the second had replaced on their Seamaster 2531.80. The sun has faded the tip on mine to a dull orange and I see a website that sells original Omega components. What is the process involved for the watchmaker to make the swap so I can estimate the amount of risk in having the watch opened up to have this done.Greg

Which pieces better with leather strap?
Hi all,I tried searching but haven't found much direct information on this. Hope you won't mind me posting a new thread asking this.I have been thinking through what to do on a dressier piece with leather strap. Been looking at JLCs and a few others. However, I have seen a few posts about current and older Rolex pieces that could work very well with leather straps making them dressier pieces. I have also seen some Tudor pictures as well.If you have experience with this, please share your experiences and thoughts as to which rolex pieces could work well with leather straps and pictures are always helpful as well! Thanks in advance for any help!
