SIHH 2015: Montblanc Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum (Updated with Live Photos and Prices)
Montblanc has launched a number of new travel-oriented watches at SIHH 2015 in Geneva. One of them, the Montblanc Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum is a new take on the world timer, showing the hour in 24 time zones at once.The Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum uses an intuitive and visual method to represent world time. The center-mounted hour and minutes hands provide the local time. A rotating 24-hour ring encircles the dial; the small red arrow at 6 o’clock points to the local hour on the ring.The most prominent aspect of the watch, though, is at the center of the display. A sapphire crystal layer within the dial shows the Northern Hemisphere as seen from the North Pole. The continents are cut out, while the surrounding oceans are in blue. As day turns into night, the lower layer of the dial shifts, so that the continents that had been white turn black, and vice versa. Davide Blei Rolex Collection Brings $3.7 Million
On Sunday March 22 in Milan, Patrizzi & Co. auctioneers brought the hammer down on the Davide Blei Rolex collection, selling 98% of the lots for a total of 2,736,400 euro or slightly more than $3.7 million. The sale result does not include a buyer’s premium, as Patrizzi & Co. does not charge a buyer’s premium. More than 200 people followed the auction, including more than 100 online. In a press release Patrizzi & Co. said “[I]t is comforting to know that despite a global economic crisis, fine horology remains, as it has throughout history, a strong, stable market, capable of inspiring great passion and excitement.”

I just love the new look of Omegas. I believe that they have improved tremendously over the years... too bad they are following the foot steps of Rolex with the yearly price increase. This is a New to me PO 2500C. I like this better than the new ceramics.. best bang for the buck divers IMHO
