Pairs Well With: Bulova Commemorative Hack Watch
Well, it's finally almost sort of here, Summer, as marked by Memorial Day. This much loved and awaited for long weekend is not only an official holiday of remembrance, it's also the first time people light up their grills for the season (ok, if you've been following us on instagram, you know we started a couple of weeks ago). And if you happen to have a boss who believes in such things, Summer Fridays (which is the real start of Summer, right?)! Anyway, long story short, it's a long weekend when the weather is usually nice in which we encourage each other to drink cold beer and eat grilled meat. So, it's one of the best weekends.Of course, the holiday itself is a day to remember and give respect to those of the US Armed Forces who have fallen in combat. As such, we thought that this edition of PWW should focus around a watch that though a reissue well after that fact, has it's roots in actual US military history. Offered a blue 15400. Should I take?
Hey all,Just picked up a white dial 15400 last month, but the boutique called and offered me a blue dial. Are they really that rare that it would be worth purchasing? Is there a flip opportunity? I would possibly trade my white dial, but if I would take a wash on the blue I wouldn't really be into it.Thanks!
AP ROO Diver comfortability and wearability
I've had my eye on the AP ROO Diver for some time, but haven't seen one in the flesh. At 42mm diameter and ~14mm thick, how does it wear? Does it wear like a 44mm Panerai Luminor Marina auto? Or a little smaller? It looks quite large lug to lug, which might be a concern with my relatively thin ~6.75 wrist. The silver dial model is quite striking and not as common.
AP Royal Oak is the most sought after model
Its official..Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak, reinforcing its leading position of last year, continues its reign as the most sought-after haute horlogerie watch model. Its based on latest watch report according to Forbes magazine.Patek is the most popular brand name though.link:forbes/sites/anthonydemarco/2013/01/27/the-most-popular-luxury-timepieces/ I am still a wanna be AP owner but it it helps that I am going in right direction!
