Magrette Regattare Bronze Watch
The newest limited edition watch from New Zealand based Magrette is this Regattare Bronze (technically called the Ragattare Vintage Bronze), and there is a lot to love here. The Regattare collection is one of Magrette's mainstay models that have seen numerous versions and revisions over the years. Now in bronze, collectors and style aficionado's get an interesting case material option at+ a solid price.Bronze is not typically used for watch cases but 2010 and 2011 saw a range of bronze watches being released for the collector's market. It would be a tough material to sell to the mainstream given the metal's tendency to oxidize - which is exactly why some collector's like the material though. Bronze develops a patina over time (not that much time) that appears like discoloration on the metal. This is valued to some collectors as their watch will not only look unique (no two age the same) but also because the aging will help the timepiece look like a vintage item. For the 44mm wide Regatt
PAM 441 and the ceramic bracelet
I have a 441 model with the OEM brown strap. I went to the Panerai boutique store in NYC to purchase the ceramic strap to replace the brown strap. I was told it is not possible and the ceramic strap will not fit the 441. So i purchased a black smooth leather strap and it looks quite good. However, as i browse TRF i have see a number of 441's offered for sale with the ceramic bracelet. I even saw the trusted DavidSW selling a 441 with the bracelet included as well as the brown strap. Can any one knowledgeable the model advise please? Thank you
Box and Papers?
Recently purchased first Panerai and trying to verify what documentation I may be missing. I don't plan on selling/flipping the watch, but if there is any supporting documentation I can obtain to offset any missing documents, I would like to work on it.What I have:-Outer black box which has sticker with bar code, PAM #, and same number that is on the watch (limited edition).-Wood box, looks like the standard Panerai light brown box-Booklet which provides history on Panerai, info on case, movement, care etc.-Another booklet which has International Guarantee and Limited Warranty. Watch was made in 2002, so warranty doesn't apply.-Card which includes original owner, individual watch number, purchase date, and authorized dealer.I brought watch to CD Peacock, which has one of few Panerai watchmakers in the Midwest. Couple issues in the gears, which can be fixed with a cleaning. Once done, watch will have a 2 year warranty. Watchmaker is familiar with Panerai, does the work in-house, and val
Daytona MSRP what if scenario..
Hypothetically speaking...would you light up your CC if you could get a Daytona at MSRP? Let's assume the card would be paid off in 3 months.
