Audemars Piguet Adds Anthony Kim and Rory McIlroy as Golf Ambassadors
Audemars Piguet announces the addition of PGA golfer Anthony Kim and European PGA golfer Rory McIlroy as the Company's newest brand ambassadors. Kim and McIlroy join the AP Golf Ambassador Team which already includes Darren Clarke, Nick Faldo, Miguel Angel Jim��nez, Graeme McDowell, Rocco Mediate, Morgan Pressel, Vijay Singh, DJ Trahan, and Lee Westwood, among others. At 24 years of age, Anthony Kim rocketed onto the PGA scene after turning pro in 2006. Ever since trading off my Daytona and Hulk as part of a trade to get my holy grail watch (among other things), I've been longing for the sturdiness of a modern Rolex dive watch.I felt my pulses go up when the SubC ND came out, but then it was too close to the Hulk that I let go. It was a slightly different case when the SD-C 4000 came out. However, I felt it was more of a design variation of the SubC, rather than something technically superior like the DSSD, so couldn't justify spending the money.On one eye, I have been closely monitoring the 5 digit dive watch market, the 14060, the 16610, and of course the 16600. I was quite decided, that it was either going to be one that is a very early model with a weathered look and patina, or a near NOS last of the series release before Rolex went full-on bling with the ceramics. But the fact that I already have a 5513 from 1968, pushed my decision towards the Last of the Mohicans of the modern era pre-ceramic tool watches.As I was searching the
