A. Lange & S?hne Unveils its Grand Complication at SIHH
Avid fans and collectors of A. Lange & S?hne are now one step closer to their Holy Grail: the German watch brand announced at the SIHH in Geneva that it will release its long-anticipated Grand Complication wristwatch this year and, from the standpoint of complications, it looks to be even more than many expected. For a watch to meet the traditional criteria of a grand complication, it must include, in addition to hours, minutes and seconds, a perpetual calendar, chronograph, and minute repeater. Lange’s Grand Complication goes above and beyond these requirements. Its chiming mechanism includes a grand sonnerie and petit sonnerie in addition to a minute repeater; its chronograph is a monopusher with a split-seconds function and jumping seconds; and its perpetual calendar includes a moon-phase display. The watch’s two hand-wrought gongs produce the sound of the minute repeater and of the hour and quarter-hour strikes. In the grand strike (grande sonnerie) mode, the chimin
Oris Chronoris Watch
Watches like this make a great argument for why you need to have more than one watch. How could a singular timepiece style match how you feel all the time? Unless that is, you just don't pay any attention to what you are wearing on your wrist. This Oris Chronoris watch is a perfect example of this fact. If I had one of these watches I would certainly find days when I couldn't look at it, and other days when all I would want is to wear it. How is that possible? It is like how art can function - meant to enhance how you feel or want to feel. The colorful look from 1970 is just not for all the time, but sometimes it is just what hits the spot. Sometimes you feel like being retro-nostalgic, other times the idea sounds terrible. The 70's had a lot of odd watches, maybe not as many as today, but they certainly got weird when it came to shapes and colors. A few things from the era stuck though. Namely large sized cases and bold looks. You really didn't have a lot of that before. In celebration
New AP Royal Oak Offshore chrono 37mm
Did anyone see this one? It was announced at SIHH 2010. Pricey at $17,000MSRP, but I likey. I think the case thickness measues in the 13mm range. I am a huge fan of the Royal Oak Offshore line, but the 44mm (or maybe 42mm?) case size and thick case was always a turn-off for me. Price wise, some what out of my league. I can always dream or hope for a deep discount in the pre-owned market some day. I found this link while surfing on another watch forum. I hope it is ok to post the link.thesydneytarts.blogspot/2...nomatopia.html

Speedy Service results
I took my Speedy Automatic back to Swatch for service because it was gaining like 45s per day. Finally they told me to get it back, all fixed and gave me some test results as attached.Does anyone know how to read these measurements? What do they mean?
