Veraet Watch Cleaning & Care + Special Deals
When you collect watches, or even have just one "beloved" watch that you own, there are a few key things you need to know about. These include where to get your watch serviced, where to buy new bracelet/straps, and how to clean your watch. Watch brands make it really easy for you to know about new watches to buy, but leave out information about these other things, and most watch retailers aren't much help to be honest. So today I am gonna discuss cleaning your watches. Specifically, with items from a newer company called Veraet. Perhaps watch tidiness is not as important as a watch that is working - but nevertheless you'll want to know about products that help you keep your timepieces clean. While there is nothing magical or ultra-unique about Veraet products, they do a good job of taking the worry out of cleaning watches, and presenting products specifically made for the purpose in nice easy to get kits. For example, their watch cleaning solution spray and brush are specially formulate
Watch stopped - uh!
A few days ago, I posted about watch winding times. Well, my ROO Panda hasn't moved in 2 days (after it was fully wound)I called AP on 57th st and was told to bring it in and that the Clearwater SVC center is closed until Jan 6th.Any ideas about how to get it working again? The crown feels very tight - had it in my winder at 600 bidirectional rotations/day. I'm slightly pissed...
Any AP Divers near Philly?
The only AP dealer near me is in Philly, and they do not have any ROO Divers in. If any member has one, I'd take you out for some food if I could compare it to my DSSD.... Send me a PM!Thank you
Case number for midsize Seamaster?
Do anyone know the case number for the midsize Seamaster? I'm looking for some spares from Otto Frei but I don't have the tools necessary to open the caseback on my watch
Some thoughts on perpetual calendars
Recently I previewed a very beautiful Ref 3448 in white gold from 1975. A true grail watch that hides a lot of complexity beneath a very clean and simple dial and case. It was quite magical on the wrist. But it got me thinking again about Ref. 5320. Ref. 3448 has no leap year indicator but is in a 38.5 mm case. Ref. 3445 is different to Ref. 3448 as it has a leap year indicator but therefore makes the dial offcentered. The 5320 has a leap year indicator and on top of that has a day/night indicator (which although rather useless, gives the dial nice symmetry). I think in the larger case of the Ref. 5320, the leap year and day/night look good and balanced. The watch is interesting as it combines a sporty look with luminescent markers and hands, but at the same time is a very classical complication with clear vintage lineage. I look forward to seeing some incomings here in the future.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
