Zodiac Adds Bronze and 7750 Chronos to Their Line Up
Well, the ‘heritage’ craze at Baselworld 2016 continues! Zodiac is another brand with a rich history that is continuing the fantastic trend of borrowing upon that history to produce new versions of vintage classics. This year Zodiac has put out quite a few models for Basel, but we’ll just concentrate on a couple of limited edition gems here, one diver and one chronograph. The Zodiac Sea Dragon Chronograph is sporty, with a bit of that vintage racing chrono flair. The case is similar to the 3-handed version we reviewed with a squarish tonneau shape, nicely brushed top and sides, with a polished bezel. At 42mm wide with 22mm lugs, it’s a nice modern size without being too big. The dial is laid out with the sub-dials at 12, 6 and 9, and a day/date window at 3.There will be several dial colors available, but the limited editions will come only in black or gray. AP as daily driver?? Why not?
I read a lot of comments on here from people saying that they would not have an AP for their daily watch. I see it a lot for Royal Oaks (which I am particularly interested). Is this solely based on the fact that the finishes are so perfectly executed and the bezels are subject to being easily scratched? I mean if you didn't care how much the watch got scratched would you still not use it daily? I guess I am just trying to figure out the basis of this statement. I have a Sub-C. I wear it everywhere and anywhere not worrying about scratches. I want a ROO Diver. I have gotten advice in the past on here telling me to keep the Sub cause I wouldn't want to use the AP dailythen what is the point??Does anyone wear their AP RO all day, everyday? Anyone have pics of a daily worn APscratches and all???
The wait begins!

Today is the 41st anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11. Let's see those Pre-Moon Speedies! Here is my 1966 Ref. 105-012, the same watch that a friend told me he wore on both his Gemini and Apollo missions:
BNIB 116622 YM w/ Platinum Dial at AD
One of the ADs in my area has a BNIB 116622 Yacht-Master with the Platinum Dial and is willing to sell it to me at $10k plus tax.I know it was never a popular watch, but I always liked it. At $10k, it's intriguing. Should I pull the trigger?
