Incoming BLNR... but still have to wait!
I love dual time watches. They are a great tool for me where I can check different time zones easily. The Casio works awesome for that. But once you get hooked on to automatic/mechanical watches, there is no looking back. Got the SS SkyD, but something was missing. It just didn't seem right for me! So moved on from it.The GMT Master would have been a better choice, given you can track 3 time zone at once. The GMT LN was really nice, but it didn't sing to me. Finding the BLNR seemed more challenging. The one I got to try was already spoken for. Scouting every AD in every country I visited. Finally, I emailed the AD I got my TT Daytona from, about how much I wanted the BLNR. He put in a special order for me. Less than a week later got the call at 3 am(last night, I am 12 hours ahead of US). Even the AD was surprised that they got the BLNR for me so fast. So stoked Can't wait for it. Have to wait 2 weeks before I will be flying back to stateside. Eagerly counting the days down! Building a
Newbie hello and a question
Hello, been reading/researching on the forum a while and thought it was about time to say hello. A wealth of information and clearly some really knowledgeable people on here. I am based in Australia and currently hunting for a Sea-Dweller 43mm and was looking for a little advice. I have contacted about every dealer in the country (and some overseas) and they are all quoting extensive waiting lists. My question is should I wait it out or pay a (pretty big) premium through, say one of the dealers on chrono24? Aside from the price any other drawbacks from buying from a non-authorized dealer in terms of warranty etc? Thanks very much. Rob
