Watches NEWS
Got my 5164 today. Mixed feelings.
Hey guys, as some of you know I upgraded my 5167 for a 5164. I bought preowned from a known seller. Got the watch today and after inspecting it thoroughly I noticed the lume on some of the numbers is darker. I immediately called the seller to let him know. He said he himself didn't notice but it didn't look that bad bla bla (he sourced it from a third party) then he said that after looking at the photos he sent me, the lume on some numerals do look off, but it was shown in the pictures and I should've noticed. When I saw the photos it wasn't clear, it could be bad lighting or whatever, never thought the lume would be messed up. So after speaking with him for a while he said he couldn't take it back because he had sourced it from a third party etc etc he offered to give me a small refund for the defect and that's about it. As you can probably guess I love the watch but hate the way the lume looks. I'm super anal about this stuff. Is it normal for a watch with a few years to have the lu
New Zealand is an interesting place
Kind of like the Bermuda Triangle of Patek. You see the strangest things. Like this in the local AD's window. Where else in the world would you get this!??!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It was another Patek AD visit today
I love that place. Anyway the primary goal was to get my Nautilus bracelet resized, and I took the oportunity to take along the Pepsi at the same time and get the Super Jubilee resized as well.Ok so no respectable WIS would chicken out and require help from their AD with such a menial task.Call me chicken but then again it did give this WIS an oportunity to look at so more watches, so there.Anyway, I had a good long conversation about watches and so forth. How's this going, how's that going, what's that look like, would you like to give me a Patek for free. I didn't bring back a free Patek.I didn't bring back any inside intell.I did enjoy talking about watches and such.I did get a chance to once again see the 5170 and a 5980.I got my bracelets resized for both watches. So I'm having a good day, hope your having one as well.
Rotor movement in p.9000 movement (Pam312)
Hey guys,I am aware that many people have mentioned that the rotor in their p.9000 is rough, which is how I would describe the rotor in my Pam 312. When I try to spin watch with it off, the rotor fully spins only a few times max. That said, the watch doesn't lose power when I normally wear it.However, I cam across this youtube video of a Pam 312 which has a silky smooth rotor that freely spins a number of times with a strong thrust. Is this the way the rotor is supposed to spin? Because mine is not nearly as smooth.https://.youtube/watch?v=CVX_aLYqkIg
Matt LeBlanc is a Hulk wearer
Watched Top Gear last night on catch up, saw Matt LeBlanc wearing a Hulk during his time in Japan. So that's him and Robert Downey Jr who own one.Struck a cord with me as I have a Hulk & an R34 saloon. Should be available on catch up TV for non U.K. residents too
