Dodane Type 21 Watch Available On James List
Dodane is a very cool watch brand. They don't exactly have the biggest collection of pieces - banking it all on a single product with a few variations, but a nice product it is. Their fine offering is the Type 21 watch, a historical looking aviation timepieces with a healthy relevance for today's pilot or watch enthusiast. Nothing in the watch sacrifice's its core mission - to be a highly legible timepieces, with a flyback chronograph, and to function as a measuring tool in the event an aircraft's instrumentation dies.Dodane's website does a very good job explaining not only the history of the watch, but also all of its functions and available variations - all with lots of pictures. While not perfect, the site is surprisingly useful - for a watch brand website that is. Based in France, Dodane watches are very rare in the US. AC February Adjustment
I recently added my first PP, a 5726. This is also my first AC watch. First question: For AC PPs like the 5726, when do you adjust your date for February? On March 1st or on the 28th / 29th of February? The manual says not to advance the date when it's either the 30th or the 31st because the month change mechanism is in motion. To me it would make since to adjust on the last day of February and before the date change mech is in motion.Second question: Does the movement think February has 30 or 31 days? That is, would you set the date to the 30th or 31st on the last day of February? Reading through the manual I did not see where it specified this. I realize I have a while before I need to worry about this, but I was just wondering.

5980 fever...
Hi guys...The HK members had a GTG today in HK... it was a great time had by all... please see the photo's on the Rolex Thread...After lunch we all went to do a little Window Shopping and I tried on the 5980... I must say this is one beautiful watch... everytime I have tried it on I feel I could be a one watch no I mean One Paket Watch guys with this one... It looks and feels great! Just wanted to share the photo...I am planning to swing by the dealer on tuesday... and if it's there I think I will pull the trigger on this one...I know I keep saying this but this will have to be my last one...Because I won't have any more play money left...Cheers!
