Tissot Sailing-Touch Watch
The super famous Tissot T-Touch line just keeps getting additions. Interestingly enough some of my most popular articles are those on the T-Touch Expert and the Sea-Touch. People love these things! Last year at Basel 2009 Tissot released a diving version of the T-Touch with the Sea-Touch, and now we will have the Sailing-Touch. Yes, the name of the models are getting less and less elegant, but the style is looking sharp, and the interesting new functions are always welcome. Interestingly, this new watch will feature a bit of a lower price as I understand it, with some luxury features as well.First let's look at the style. It is a real departure from the aggressive looks of the rest of the T-Touch line. The look is smoother and feels more like a boating instrument, but that is the point right? Here are two color varieties. Tissot indicates that initially the watch will be available with a lacquered white, navy blue, silvered, or black dial. In addition to an available rubber strap in wh
Ploprof in the river
Hello!I've been this weekend in our countryside house here in Russia. The water was cold, but ok ;) ImageUploadedByTapatalk1341925105.750889.jpgAnd here at night, One of the last whitenights near Saint Petersburg. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1341925219.898827.jpgRegards
My PO masters the sea!
Spring Break 2010...Panama City Florida. I did swim in the surf with my PO but did not have the camera on that excursion. Anyway, I finally got some decent pics of my watch on its 9 month anniversary! Also, just before the trip my Dad had his 1965 Rado serviced. He bought it in '65 and wore it a few times, and then put it away. My interest in watches inspired him to get it out and have it serviced...it looks really sharp, and in the pic you can see the reflection of my omege bracelet in its bezel. I am well aware of the forum feeling on Rados, but this all original Diastar 1 is pretty sweet IMO, and its great that my Dad is now enjoying his watch again!
Speedy Accuracy Question
My speedy is slowing inconsistantly. Minus 7 or 9 for a few days. Sometime out of the blue it drops 14 or 12. And once it even slows like 3 minutes per day. I check the time online everyday with gov.time so I'm pretty sure the watch is slowing down as I stated. Does anyone have that kind of issue with the manual speedy? Thanks.
5960p-001 Grey unloved
Dear all, just wondering why this model is so unloved by the Patek community? It's the very first in-house automatic movement, first flyback, the central chronograph hand can be operated continuously to serve as conventional seconds hand without harming the mechanism (for those who love to see their watches move), and the first to feature the 30 minute and 12 hour chronograph indicators in the same subdial, the easiest to read annual calendar, day/night indicator, power reserve. Everything is so legible. The 40 mm size is, in today's standards, a safe positioning. Not thicker than a Rolex Submariner.Elegant pump pushers.Beautiful sunburst grey dial with white contrasting bullseye that gives it an interesting look while staying subtle compared to the blue. The bullseye is so loved on the 5980.It has all the winning points. But it is currently being dumped everywhere, a very much unloved piece in the market as we speak.Yes, production spanned 8 years (I am not going to discuss the price her
