In-Depth: The Chopard Group Launches La Chronomtrie Ferdinand Berthoud, And FB 1, A Marine Chronometer For The Wrist
On September 22nd, the Chopard Group (which includes Chopard, the watch and jewelry maison, as well as Fleurier Ebauches, SA, the movement manufacturer) announced the very first timepiece from La Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud. La Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud is a new business for the Group – it was first announced in 2013, and its first wristwatch represents what co-presidents Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and Caroline Scheufele (brother and sister) hope will be the first in a series of wristwatches inspired by the life and work of Ferdinand Berthoud. These watches are intended to be a no-holds-barred exercise in luxury watchmaking, and will occupy a commensurate price point, but according to Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, whom we interviewed at the launch event at the Yacht Club de France, Chopard also hopes to stimulate interest in, and awareness of, one of the most important figures in the history and evolution of the marine chronometer. 1 OF 17 Ferdinand
Has anyone tried a deployant on the diver or new offshore chromo?
I am thinking about getting a new strap for a forged carbon diver. AP makes a 29mm x 20mm strap for the new chronos (20mm at the buckle), and there are now both tang and deployant options. Has anyone tried the deployant? Thanks!
How happy are you of your Planet Ocean ??
Call me crazy but I was considering to sell my last Rolex in the collection ( a Submariner ND) to make funds for a Planet Ocean. Sometimes I just need some Rolex free time, don't ask me why.....So,how happy are you ?? I'm looking to get a black one,42mm rubber strap.
Double Sealed meaning? And little brown box
I've been browsing around at Aquanauts and I'm slightly confused about the lingo. What does double and single sealed mean? What are those little brown boxes with the barcodes on them? Does that mean it was recently serviced by Patek? Please excuse me of my lack of knowledge on this subject. Any guidance would be much appreciated! All the best,Glenn

FellasI had been doing a little research and have my sight on the 5202. This year with the introduction of the rose gold model I am even more exited. What dial color do you guys like best? Do you think this particular model is too much for a 35 year old? Thanks in advance.
