My first AP experience...
I was in NYC today and wandered into Wempe on 5th Ave and was drooling at everything in there. I have been lusting over royal oaks for a while and finally saw one in the flesh and had to try it on. All I can say is wow, I've been bitten by the bug. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Omega FIFA chrono - restore options
Just invested in what i understand is a Speedmaster FIFA chrono case ref 11003. Chuck's site has some info and I see they are quite rare. I want to get it serviced ( cal 1045 ). Can anyone recommend a good watch repairer. The watch will also need a crystal and a general spruce up - dial clean, case regrain, case back refinish etc... Will any specialist be able to get a new crystal or will I need to go to STS?
RSC Hides Behind a Loophole
My wife's 9 month old DJ is losing 30 seconds a day. I took it to the NYC RSC and was delivered a complete shock. They told me the watch was damaged and couldn't be regulated. I would need to pay $400 for the service (discounted from $500+ because it is under warranty) plus another $130 for a new crown. This watch was NOT banged or dropped. My wife doesn't partake in activities or a lifestyle that would cause this. But RSC told me the evidence was there. One of the dots beneath the coronet on the crown was slightly flattened. Therefore, the crown was damaged and so was the timing mechanism. I can't tell you how upset I am. Has anyone had a similar experience with RSC? What did you do? Were you able to get Rolex to fix it without an astronomical cost.?Rolex touts themselves makers of these durable, tough-as-nails watches, yet this doesn't seem to be the case. It seems RSC was looking for a loophole and found one. Picture attached, although not the best quality. Plus, this flattened dot
5 seconds fast?
Just got my 2009 Rolex DJ serviced at a very reputable local vintage watch store for $400 for the first time. Took it to AD immediately afterwards and they said it was running 5 seconds fast. Is it worth it to take it back to the shop to have them recalibrate the time?

Do you think that blue bronze bay will become more available?
