Swatch Sistem51 Under $200 Automatic Watch Now For Sale
The Swatch Sistem51 watch collection is finally out for sale (in some places). Are you excited? If you don't know what it is allow me to explain. At Baselworld 2013, the Swatch Group announced what is probably a major breakthrough in watchmaking; a new automatic mechanical movement that is completely assembled by machines and is priced around 100 - 200 Swiss Francs. We first covered the Swatch Sistem51 watch here upon its debut. We first thought the retail price was about $100 but then it turned out to be closer to $150. So we are simply saying between 100 - 200 Swiss Francs as we aren't sure about the final price at this time. As of publishing time Swatch hasn't put the price on their website. UPDATE: In Switzerland at least the retail price of Swatch Sistem51 watches is 150 Swiss Francs. Also, the watches are only currently available for sale in Switzerland. Swatch has announced that the first four models of the Sistem51 collection will be slowly released around the world in 2014. The
Universal Geneve (1940s chrono): bracelet recommendation?
Dear friends,I've just purchased a 1940s, rose gold and steel Universal Geneve uni-compax chronograph. It has rose gold lugs (17mm) and a salmon dial. I'm awaiting delivery.Could you please recommend a vintage bracelet that you think would be good for it? Seems to me that a black leather strap will be best, but I'd love to hear some recommendations for a vintage bracelet that I could search for. Thanks,David
Nautilus 3710 gasket replacing
Hi,I live in Israel, there's no patek lab over here ( the only option its to send the piece to Swiss), what do you think for replacing gasket, may I do it with my watchmaker, or to send it to the official lab? Thanks for your thoughts EmanuelP.sThe watch was services at official lab in the last 5 years.I'm talking only about replacing gaskets for water resistance.
Patek Philippe videos
Greetings TRF,With the new Patek Philippe section on (thank you again, Steve and the moderators) I thought it would be nice to share some of my favorite videos! Perhaps I don't have as much as Thomas does in his Audemars Piguet thread but keep in mind that I'm always on the hunt for something new so I may come up with some every now and then. Feel free to add yours as well! Birth of a legendTo my son
