Limited Edition Formex DS 2000 Chronograph Makes Perfect 'Shop Watch'
I've talked about Formex watches before, but this model is my favorite. This is the limited edition Formex DS 2000, which means it has a Valjoux 7750 movement and a nice black rotating bezel (as opposed to the silver colored version of the non limited edition quartz model). This handsome technical watch is from a maker of decidedly race inspired timepieces. Built with their customary shock absorber protection device. The watches can usually take some brutal movement and forces.Though one thing I cannot figure out, and perhaps some one can inform me. Why is it that each Formex watch is a "Formex 4 Speed." Yes that sounds pretty cool, but watches don't have speeds, I am not sure what each Formex watch has 4 of, and 4 speed cars are very30 years ago. Regardless, it still have a nice ring to it. Otherwise, you will be impressed by the interesting watch that Formex has to offer. Most of the watches come in both mechanical and quartz movements as well. One of the features you will appreciate
So uh, whens the OMEGA FORUM gonna have a Watch Give Away ?
maybe a ceramic PO !or a PLOPROF !
5711 with deposit
After calling around to numerous AD's, the common theme sounds like the wait times is atleast a year for this piece. What about with a deposit, does this speed up the process anyway?
Patek Enablers, Some Help/Info Needed !!
To my TRF fam, and once Ap enablers not so long ago... Time to bring it to Patek First and foremost, you guy's are such BAD influences Ive tried recently the 5980, and LOVE IT! Just worried I won't wear it too much because of it's sheer prettiness and somehow I won't want to wear it casually and sporty? I know it's a sports watch, but it felt kind of delicate, not sure why! Also, I always loved the 5712, they are getting the last one in the company for me, with the blue/slate dial on bracelet to look at. Price is much more appealing to me, love the power reserve and moon phase, dial overall.. I think 51k is A LOT for a steel chrono, thoughts? Way overpriced? Last question, I guess i'll see for myself, the 5980 fit beautifully but I wouldn't want to go smaller... 5712 people say wears smaller? How much so? Which would you pick and why... Reliability? I've heard conflicting reviews of both movements... Mayor's is working with me here in FLA, 2 year factory warranty and 2 year their own w
Thoughts on the P2004?
Over the last 5 years I've had two different 311's. I loved that model. I must have right, I bought two. But the same issue made me sell them both. Reliability! Both of them had several service issues that upset me. You can see very detail posts over at Paneristi using the same handle as I have here. I was just wondering what others people thoughts and experiences were with the P2004 plus its variants. My issues currently, I love the seconds reset feature, titanium weight is huge for me plus the 12 hour GMT. I was considering the 233 but I really didn't want a ss model as I have a AP 15710 diver and missed my Panerai's but wanted something lighter. The domed crystal is a non factor for me as I like it a lot but when I had a 351 the way that looked in certain lighting the two types were a wash in terms of likability.
