Opinions ROC VS ROO -
Looking for some thoughts on the ROC and the ROO. Have a ROO currently and am thinking I will prefer the 41mm ROC and slightly lower profile compared to the ROO. Anyone gone through this process?
So I received a little box today...
... and guess what was inside?Description of pics below:1. Nestled quite comfortably in its box, along with the solid case back and stylus.2. A closer look - flawless design, perfect proportions.3. What about the back? Had the sapphire display back installed at Henri Stern, to observe the lovely and enchanting CH 27-70 movement.4. Obligatory wrist shot!5. Final pic - the Rolex 69159 with a mother of pearl dial, all in white gold. Can't very well get a 3970J for myself without getting the wife something, can I?Thanks for all your advice and support along the way, particularly SteelerFan65, FeelingTheBlues, myopiccoog and my co-3970 hunter Oryx for offering great tips and helpful encouragement. I didn't think that I'd be getting another piece this soon. Heck, Oryx posted his thread about seeking a perpetual calendar chronograph only eight days ago. But I suppose if you really want it, you gotta have it...
SubC order SD43
Hi,A close friend is debating if he should buy the classic sub with date or the SD43. It will be his first and most likely only Rolex. Which one would you chose and why?I think the SD43 as it's an anniversary model as he mentioned that this will be his only one... well I told him that I said the same when I bought my first Sub 10 years ago lol.Cheers,Alex
Have Explorer I pre-2016, what is next C GMTc Master II or Explorer II 40mm?
Hi All,Just got the Explorer I and now I am looking for my next one. I o travel, although not as much as I used to and see value in one of the Rolex GMT watches. I will buy pre-owned and have an option of buying a 2006 or 2009 GMTc Master II 116710 Z serial number or Explorer II D serial number in white dial. I like the GMTc for its three time zone feature, however it looks like a dive watch to me. Moreover, I already have the black dial Explore I and buying another black dial may not make sense. The GMTc is $1,500 more than the Explorer II.Overall, I find the GMTc much more appealing. On the other hand, I like the idea of having a white dial Rolex that will compliment my Explorer I.Can't seem to make up my mind as this will be the watch I will buy this year famous last words.
