Watches NEWS
AP Diver issue
hi watch lover,i need your input with my AP ROO Diver. i have watch for couple months now, but i do have love and hate relationship with the watch. love the design and the look, but it hurt when i wear it. i bought this watch new. do you guys has experience this? has anyone here ever change the rubber to the old version ROO rubber strap with deployant buckle?i am trying so hard to save this watch in my collection. any input would appreciated.thank you in advance.
Forged carbon case
Is it true that AP is stopping its forged carbon production? If so why? I know that they stopped production on the 44mm and 42(bumblebee). So now if i want to purchase forged carbon, i need to go with the concept style? (Considering that i want to purchase new). Thank you for the clarification. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Finally got a Speedy Pro! (And too many pictures.)
I can't believe I waited this long, what a cracking watch. I bought the new 005 (hesalite) model, which I know some say is expensive, and partly paying for a useless box, but I got it at a very good price from a non-authorised dealer (I can live without the AD 500+ cup of tea!), and the box of goodies does add a bit to the experience. I do think this watch is good value regardless, compared to most other luxury watches anyway. I'm really pleased I went for the hesalite version - the dial is surprisingly clear as a result, although I don't really notice the often talked about attractive distortion (which seems about the same as a sapphire box crystal to me). It's well built and nicely finished, fits me beautifully in my opinion and is super comfortable as a result, and so far at least keeps really good time (+5 s/d).
Seamaster Planet Ocean 2201.50.00
I was just informed by an Omega boutique that the Seamaster Planet Ocean 2201.50.00 is not available anymore. Are they serious, or do they just want to push the new model? The 2201.50.00 is still advertised on the Omega website...Has Omega recently stopped production? Could anyone here tell me where to get a new one (I live in Florida), I really prefer the older design of the PO.Any help is appreciated,Nick
Patek 5177 purchased, no papers...
I have purchased my first modern Patek Philippe and I couldn't be more thrilled. I traded two watches and a bit of cash for it to a well known and respected dealer, who I have inquired to about the issue. The watch showed up and is in great condition (like new). However, it does not have papers, mauals, tags, and short two links.I emailed the dealer and pointed this out the day I got it and he responded that the watch from a certified dealer but did not come with papers. We had been talking trade numbers and not an actual value of the watch so based on how that conversation had gone I assumed that he was placing a value on the watch of $25,000 or so. The watch arrived without anything other than a box and I am upset.I'm trying to figure out what to do here. What I would like to acomplish is to have a 5711 with box and papers for the deal I made, which was very fair and left a good bit of meat on the bone for the dealer OR find a value on the 5711 and discount the current one to that. What
