Lust and thus, INCOMING!!
Lusted for the CK-2998 and Snoop dog for some time and either would of made me very happy. Got the call finally for the CK-2998 and boy was it an exciting one. In real life, CK-2998 exceeded my expectation by a mile. The navy blue was not too much and appear very black and white or Panda like. The case proportions and the overall dial balance (chronograph dials are refined and not too big) are perfect. It also exudes a classic and vintage feel thanks to the sword hands. Guess what watch it is?
So I'm at the movies a couple of days ago and up pops the trailer for Transporter 4. Right after the Transporter takes out 6 guys, he says You guys are going to make me late and looks at his watch for just fraction of a second, but just enough time for me to notice the watch. Production shortage
So I have a theory. I saved up for a long time to buy my first Rolex a month ago. One thing that pissed my off, was the bezel didn't line up at 12 with the click. Evidently this is a known issue with ceramic bezels. Some believe since this a mass produced product it was ok to have QC issues. Since it's a Rolex it's ok to have a flaw. Other brands don't seem to get judged the equally. When looking used I was afraid of getting a fake. Buy the seller not the watch. Doing my research I was told Rolex watches are supposed to be perfect if they are real. I think over the years the philosophy of perfection has gone away. Either due to increased capacity to meet demand or their QC has gone down. No company produces everything perfect and there is always going to be one offs. Long story short - maybe Rolex is slowing down production to fix QC. They could also be getting ready for changing over of the big selling modelswith new movements. Personally, if I owned Rolex I would be firing people in
