Question on leather strap
Hey guys have a question. I have a chronomat 47 and want to get a white leather strap for it but also use the Breitling deployment clasp. Called the AD today and unfort Breitling doesn't make a white leather in the size I need. Does anyone know of a place I can source such strap that will be compatible w the deployment clasp. Thank you guys in advance
latest acquisition. Speedy Pro Hesalite.
always admired this particular omega model for years. the history behind it and the looks never ceased to amaze me from time to time.now I've got the chance to share it with you guys.please enjoy.
Speedy not repaired after 5 months!
Allow me to to tell you my tale of woe and then I'd be grateful for any advice.Cast your mind back to 9th September last year. I'm on holiday and decide to treat myself to a new Speedmaster Pro from an AD in a city 300 miles from home. I have a very pleasant transaction with the salesman and receive a 12% discount. I'm happy.2 weeks later, I'm not quite so happy. The Speedmaster has a serious problem. After a full wind it dramatically gains time, 20 seconds in 5 minutes! I've also spotted a dent in the bezel. I refer back to a photo I took an hour after purchase which shows the ding, (at the 90 mark) but which took me 2 weeks to notice. I didn't dent my new watch. So with cosmetic and major mechanical faults, I agree with the AD to send it back to him. That was on the 29th September 2009.135 days later I've still not got it back on my wrist! The AD sent it to Omega and by mid-December it was back at his shop with the mechanical problem repaired. However Omega had refused to replace the
COSC Certificate for Railmaster on its way . . .
The charge on my American Express card just showed up online (even though the Omega put it through on January 29th) for the COSC Certificate on my 36.2mm Railmaster. The CHF 50 hit my account as USD 48.47. I'm a box, papers, etc. kind of guy, so I just had to order more paper.
Alternative straps for a Polar Explorer.
Ie got a Black Dial 16570 that I do not have the bracelet for and which I wear almost daily on a black rubber Everest strap and its quite simply my favourite watch, more so than either of my Subs (14060m & 114060). I have recently bought another 16570, this time a Polar on a bracelet and I like to put this watch into my rotation. I֪ not really a bracelet guy and are looking at alternatives. I֪ reluctant to get another Everest as I don think black would suit a white dial and I֪ not keen on the other available colours. I֪ therefore thinking about NATO and maybe a leather option. Anyone have any suggestions and even better pictures. Thanks.
