WATCH GIVEAWAY: Minus-8 Layer Automatic
This month on watches-dealer, you can enter for a chance to win a timepiece by the new San Francisco, California-based watch company Minus-8 (referring, of course, to GMT-8 as the time zone of San Francisco). The watch is called the Layer, and it combines a hip modern design with a Japanese automatic mechanical movement. Further, the Minus-8 Layer watch has an NFC-enabled silicon strap which includes a "near field communication" chip that allows the watch to interact with smartphones and other devices. There are a range of things that NFC in a watch can be used for. One good example, is allowing the watch to "unlock" a phone when it is in near proximity to it. There are currently four available versions of the Minus-8 Layer watch. The case is 45mm wide, with a sapphire crystal, and 100 meters of water resistance.Inside the Layer watch is a Japanese automatic mechanical movement which is visible through a transpa

Which Moonwatch?
Hey guys. Will flip my Speedy automatic (date) for a Moonwatch. My AD has been kind enough to set aside a sapphire sandwich and a 50th Anniversary Patch Model for me. I like the sapphire sandwich as its dial retains the simple, classic and timeless look of the Moonwatch. However, I also like the 50th Anniversary Patch Model. I know the Patch Model belongs to a limited series but am worried I will grow tired of the dial in time. Which one do you guys recommend I get? I need to decide soon lest my AD lets go of either or both models. Would greatly appreciate your opinions to help me make a decision. Thanks in advance!
Man plans, God laughs
My AD called me to say he had something special for me...Now not going to lie; it wouldn't be the first Nautilus to come to my mind, but definitely grew on me. And love it! Plus I got a nice discount as well NEVER in my life would I think I'd ever purchase a two toned watch!!
Something old... Something borrowed
Wish I could marry these.A visit to Beyer in Zurich. Some amazing pieces restored to mint, with guarantee, most from their first owners who bought them from/through Beyer. A lot of their vintage stuff never gets featured on their website or put on display so it was a privilege that they brought all these wonderful pieces out. Here to share for your viewing pleasurePic courtesy of a friend (big thanks! You know who you are)
