Get a Free Nomos!..
Ok, that title is admittedly misleading. No, you can't have a free Nomos watch, but you can make your own Nomos timepiece. In honor of spring, the designers in Glashtte put together a DIY Sundial for your time telling pleasure. Simply print the PDF on their site, cut out the slot, insert a pencil and orient 12am towards north. The sun will do the rest, and wherever your shadow lies will tell you the time. I have to say, there is something incredibly charming about a brand making DIY Sundials for their fans.Oddly enough, this isn't Nomos' first use of the sun in a timepiece. Their "Sonnenuhr" (yes, that means Sundial) is a small pendant consisting of interlocked rings. Jokingly, Nomos refers to this as "the lowest priced manufactory caliber from Glashtte". On the outside of the rings is a calendar and on the inside is an index for the time. There is also a single hole passing through to allow sunlight to hit the inside ring. One tells the time seeing where the dot of light strikes the
Buying new strap in dubai
Of to Dubai next week While there thought I visit the boutique in one of the malls and buy a new rubber strapCould anyone give me an idea of the price for a 42mm rubber clad strapI also notice on the website that boutiques can do a water resistance test can this be done while you wait or do you have to leave the watchThanks in advance
First Panerai, dilemma...
I have been thinking of getting a Panerai for a while now and I hope to pull the trigger before christmas. I want a base model with only hour and minute hands, preferably titanium but steel is also fine. I also want a sandwich dial and max 44mm, this is the problem. I have looked into the 560 and 562, only the Q series has a sandwich dial. I have looked at used 176, 112 and 000s too. My options so far: I have looked into getting a new 562 from Jomashop with a sandwich dial(they claim the one they have for sale has it). The used 176:es I have look at so far were too expensive or too polished. I started noticing that polishing can not be unseen when you spot it and I think I need an unworn/unpolished specimen. Questions: Have I missed a model that looks like the ones above(max budget about 5k USD, the 172 is out...)?I don't mind buying it from the US, they are so cheap there that the 25-30% customs + VAT still makes it worth it. But how reliable is Jomashop, can I trust them that they di
Final outcome to: If only one BLNR or Bluesy Sub C!!!
Ok , so life happened and I've become a One watch guy for awhile ... As I loved both the BLNR and the Bluesy Sub C plus my TT Sub Black dial 5 digit ref ... I trimmed the collection down to one hopefully temporarily... The TT Black dial Sub went on to greener pastures and so did one more ... Can you guys guess which one survived the cut ??? Not that I can't say, it's just makes it a little more fun between the 2 because they are both excellent and stunning references in their own right plus the decision wasn't easy either .... So which one stayed and which one moved on to greener pastures?BLNR or Bluesy Sub C... ?Prior thread if interested:https://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=532861
Future of the DJII 116333
I've had a thing for this model for many years now and since it's been discontinued with the oyster bracelet and gray dial, I'm curious where prices could go. This was kind of a poster child for Rolex in advertising for quite a while. How do you think used prices will fare? I've already felt the heat of prices on bluesy 16613 subs. Not sure how things will go with the DJ2 considering it's not a sports model. All enabling aside, strike while the iron's hot??
