Oris RAID Chronograph Limited Edition Watch
Have it known that the US side of Oris's operation is comprised of some very lovely, helpful people. While I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked with them at Baselworld 2010, I will be spending more time with their watch collection in June. I was able to get shots of a very cool limited edition piece - the Oris RAID Chronograph. RAID is a rally race of vintage cars. It now takes place in Switzerland and France, and only includes automobiles made before 1975. If you want to learn more about it, just Google it.This should explain the styling of the RAID Chronograph watch. It looks quire retro and reminds us of when cars had really swoopy roofs. Specifically, the dial is influenced by the tachometer of a 1952 Jaguar XK 120 - that has the redline area reversed. Use of this concept adds that always welcome splash of red to the dial. Speed master moon watch , Hesalite of the Sapphire Sandwich?
I'm in the market for an Omega Speedmaster moon watch . I would really value your opinion on whether to go with the original style Hesalite crystal or with the newer style exhibition caseback ?
Omega GMT 2535.80.00
Good Day All,I was looking at a few watches today. I am thinking of getting an Omega GMT 2535.80.00 the new model (with the Glassback and Co-Axial movement) or a Panerai (PAM 210 or 183). Both very different watches but I can only buy one next year. Does anyone have the Omega GMT 2535.80.00? Is it a good watch? I want to get something with a glass back (and maybe 24 hour GMT).Thanks,Eric
Trade advice.... again.
Realise that my 5711 (white) is not the most loved in my collection as I have been considering various trades. None have come live as realise it's rather special after all and it gets a fair share of wrist time and trading a patek for a diffrent brand feels wrong. But having a 5712 as well I would something a bit diffrent. I have the opportunity to trade against a 5711r but need to add aprox usd 8000 in between. Advise please ...Many thanks in advance and happy holidays
