Finally got my grail and joining the rest of you that already have them. I traded my 41 ROC rg towards the cost of it. Woohoo! Grail achieved!
Double Incoming.. Should Be A Good Thanksgiving
Two new to me AP's should be here for me tomorrow.. Hopefully the Fedex guy will be here early and as a bonus great excuse to stay home and make it a 5 day weekend.
Replace my 112 with 510 or 392
I lost my 112 and fancy replacing with something similar but different. I have a 6.75 wrist and got on fine with the 112. I'm tempted by the 392 but hear they are unduly thick and don't wear quite so flat. I'm in New Zealand and can't try as we have only one AD with limited stock so will import via Jomashop.Thoughts?
Any strap ideas for a Gmt 88???

Day Date 40 change over problem
I recently posted about my problem with my white metal DD40, which is even now only three weeks old. The change-over at midnight wasn't changing over effectively. Sometimes it switched half an hour late, sometimes more than an hour. And this was on the days when I was actually awake at such ungodly hours. The watch went back to the new UK HQ and service centre in Kent, built on an old wartime airfield and looking like something out of a James Bond film; all brooding smoked glass and concealed doors. Anyway, the problem was apparently that the change-over gears were not properly lubricated. This on a new watch...so even Rolex can get it wrong at times. Can't wait to get it back next week.
