Panerai Reveals New Luminor Rattrapante for SIHH 2013
Calling all Paneristi: the first of Panerai’s new crop of watches to be launched at next month’s SIHH watch fair in Geneva has been revealed: it is a split-seconds chronograph in a titanium case, bearing the reference number PAM00530 and the name Luminor 1950 Rattrapante 8 Days Titanio. The watch’s split-seconds chronograph function (also known as a rattrapante) has a vertical clutch and twin column wheels. It operates two hands that are superimposed and partially independent: the first is entirely controlled by the pusher at 8 o'clock, which starts, stops and resets the chronograph hand; the second, controlled by the button at 10 o'clock, is used for measuring partial times or a second event simultaneous with the first. The hand of the small minutes counter moves in jumps, rather than continuously, which Panerai says makes it easier to read. The movement that powers these and the watch’s other functions is Panerai’s P.2006, entirely developed and assembled
C3H5N3O9 Experiment Watches By MB&F & Urwerk
While it isn't always the case that competing watch brands are friendly with one another, it most certainly is the case with high-end independent brands MB&F and Urwerk. The two brands share a deep respect for one another, as well as friendship, despite the fact that their products are thematically similar, priced in the same ballpark, and are aimed at more or less the same type of consumer. Still, the close relationship between the two is a testament to the deeper meaning of "Swiss Made:" which is actually a sharing of resources, talents, and ideas between people in Switzerland to promote "Swiss Made" as a whole. Enter the explosive new marque C3H5N3o9, otherwise known as the chemical make up of nitroglycerin.Sitting with Max Busser of MB&F a few weeks ago here in Los Angeles, he shared with me a few scant details about a new experimental project he (and the technical mind behind MB&F Serge Kirknoff) was working on with Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei of Urwerk. Pricing Information on Royal Oaks 15400, 15202, 15450!!!
Here's the pricing information for the new 15400ST. There is, of course, a difference in price between the ref. 15400 and the ref.15202. The 15300ST is now discontinued!!! I am glad I bought mine a few weeks ago. Now it's time to grab one if you can.By the way, the new 41mm 40th Anniversary Royal Oak Ref. 15400 is fitted with the same caliber 3120 as the discontinued 15300ST.The Jumbo (39mm) Ref. 15202 will continue to come with caliber 2121 and there's a long waiting list for it. I think it will be even longer in 2012. The 2012 price for the ref. 15202ST is $22,500 and $60,100 for the rose gold one.The price for the ref. 15400ST is $16,900, rose gold on leather strap $33,800 and solid rose gold with rose gold bracelet $64,800. The 37mm Royal Oak ref. 15450 starts out at $16,300 in steel and $31,000 in rose gold.

North Flag
Just picked up a Tudor North Flag.Have read the manual and can see no reference to NOT changing the date between 9:00pm and 3:00am like some ETA movements.Does anyone know if, as it is powered by a new Tudor movement, that the date can be changed at any time like my Rolexes?
