Ball Watches Free Dive Ambassador Guillaume Nry Surfaces With New Underwater Epic Video
Guillaume Nry stunned the world with the release of his 2010 short film Free Fall. In it, the world-champion French free diver and Ball Watches brand ambassador explores the depths of the sea within "Dean's Blue Hole" - the deepest such ocean cavity in the world. The resulting cinematic experience became a spectacular viral video: if you haven't seen it yet, it will blow your mind. (We've included it at the bottom of the post, just in case you're not one of the near 21,000,000 people who've seen it on YouTube.) And now?Nry is back with a new film, Ocean Gravity (above), following in the wake of some stunning watch collaborations.Ball Ambassador Guillaume Nry & His Limited Edition Watches (image: iWmagazinewatches-dealer)Nry launched his pro career with his 2002 record descent of 87 meters, with Ball sponsorship following in 2006. Great Grandfather's Patek Philippe Calatrava
Hello. I am new this particular watch forum. Over the holidays my parents dug out my grandparents and great-grandparents' watches. Among them was this Patek Philippe Calatrava that belonged to my great-grandfather. My best guess is that he received this as a retirement or milestone anniversary gift from the company he worked for starting in 1922. He passed in 1977 so my best guess is that this dates sometime between 1942 and the late 1960s. I have sent it to PP for restoration and a proper strap but would be very interested in any insights on what model this might be. I just sent it in through an AD less than a week ago so I don't expect to hear anything for at least a month. I imagine it's destined for a long trip to Switzerland for restoration. Thank you.
