Maurice Lacroix Le Chronographe Squelette LE
This 45mm chronograph is equipped with Maurice Lacroix’s manufacture movement, caliber ML 106-7. The hand-wound 16.5 ligne (36.6mm) movement is developed, manufactured and assembled in-house. Offering classic column wheel design, 1/5 second accuracy and a 60 minute counter, the movement also featured a unique, patent-pending system that reduces the effects of impacts during the interlocking and releasing phases. Chronograph seconds are indicated by a central hand with the 60-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock and small seconds at 9 o’clock. The movement is adjusted in 5 positions and runs in 22 jewels at 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz) with a power reserve of 42 hours. The bridges are hand-decorated. The steel case combines polished sunray, circular, and vertical-brushed surfaces. The domed sapphire crystal is anti-reflective coated on both sides. The crown screws down, and the watch is water resistant to 100 meters. The dial is sapphire-crystal with metal-coated treatment and it
Perrelet Double Rotor Turbine Watch Collection
One of Perrelet's signature complications is offering various watches with two rotors - one on the back of the watch, and one on the front. After years of simply having the cool looking rotor oscillating on the face of watches, they started to get a bit more creative. The most recent iteration for a men's watch is this Turbine collection. Designed after the turbine on a jet engine, moving the watch around has the turbine vanes spinning as though the watch was about to take off.Other companies and played with this concept as a propeller, but Perrelet is taking it to the next level with the jet engine look. Cleverly hidden in the rear of the vanes are weights that help the assembly spin, but to the wearer's eye, everything look symmetrical. The turbine is crafted from 12 blades of titanium. Hidden between the spinning blades are luminous hour markers. To enhance legibility, the chapter ring of the dial includes minute markers and further hour indicators. The look is really sensational. Incoming! First AP
Hey guys, just ordered my first AP and should get it in a couple weeks. It was an impulse buy after watching APs online. I just fell in love with the 41mm ROC with black dial. After debating with myself for a while between the 15202 and the ROC, I ended up choosing the ROC, and this was no easy decision. Even after sending the funds to the seller I still had my doubts, and from what I've read here in the forum, there's not much love for the ROC and there's plenty for the Jumbo. I love that the jumbo represents classic AP design, it's really a stunner, but I felt maybe it was a little dressier for me and the ROC fits more my lifestyle. Now my current collection consists of a SubC, an Explorer II 42mm, Speedmaster 3572.50 and the AP ROC, all black dials.I'll post pictures when I get it, for the mean time I'll share this two I found on line that were partly responsible for the itch.
Lume on Patek Aquanaut 5167A vs 5164A
I was in the AD the other day to view the Patek Aquanaut 5167A and 5164A as I had decided to purchase one. I notice that the lume on the hands and dial on the 5167A was a bit off... the colours were not uniform and it had a slight green tint on them (some darker than the rest). However, for the 5164A, the colours on the lume areas were almost pure white and uniform. To double confirm there was a difference, I checked around this forum for pictures on both models and indeed, what I had spotted were the same issues on the 5167A.Does anyone here knows what is going on? Isn't the lume being applied on the 5167A the same as the one for 5164A? I understand that the 5164A was almost double the price to that of a 5167A and thus, was the quality better? The other issues was although the 5164A also uses the 324 movement, would it have the sticky date problem like some of the 5167A or 5711 as the date display is done differently? Thanks and hope the seniors here and enlighten me on the issues above
Move a 5135 for 5726?
OK all, going to introduce my first this or that post. I understand its personal preference and think I know where I am going with it, but wanted to pick your brains a bit.I currently own a 5135G - annual calendar gondolo case. Considering a 5726 Nautilus annual calendar on bracelet (white dial). I currently have the 5712 steel/bracelet which is why I am leaning towards the white dial 5726.To get the 5726 its very likely I'd have to sell the 5135. Yes or no? Would you, and why?Again, I've issued the its your choice advice often myself but curious to get the forum thoughts.
