From SS Daytona to Royal Oak?
Hi, I need your thoughts on this. The SS Daytona has long been a grail for me and I got the white ss daytona two years ago at my local AD. I did enjoyed it for a while but it hasn't been I expected it to be as my number one watch ( like my daily beater) My go to watch. I've been looking at the royal oak 15400(black or white dial) as a replacement. My collection consists of the Pam 233, TT datejust, SS Daytona, Hublot BB and Plat DD. Part of me whats to keep the daytona and part of me wants to flip it just to get the royal oak.People say AP over Rolex anyday. Need your thoughts on this one? thanks
Breitling watch saves the life of stranded hunter
Breitling watch saves the life of stranded hunterEmergency Transmitter in Watch Alerts Alaska Rescuers to Missing Man's Location A watch made more than a fashion statement when it helped save a stranded hunter's life in Alaska on August 15th. Mark Spencer was hunting grizzly bears about 120 miles northeast of Anchorage when he became stuck in the wilderness along Susitna River in the heart of the infamous Alaska Range. Spencer left his group and went searching for help on the glaciated Susitna River and struck a shoal tearing a hole in the vessel sinking it in the icy waters. He had spent more than 48 treacherous hours struggling for his life among the unrelenting elements of the Alaskan Backcountry. Breitling is the number one piece of equipment I always bring with me , said Spe

SS Watches Scarcity Just An Illusion
I have been gauging the market and it seems there are a lot of flippers that bought these watches to make money and are now having trouble selling them even at retail. Batmans going for maybe 500 over retail finding no buyers. D Blues for under retail in the same boat. The true market is the wearer market, and it seems to be well supplied. No one is desperate enough to pay over retail. Soon I expect to see these watches on display at ADs.I am sorry if this is not what some want to hear, I am just stating my true thoughts as I see them.
