Christie’s December 14 sale to be held at 20 Rockafeller Plaza in New York includes 424 lots, and the stars of the show in terms of pre-sale estimates are Patek Philippe, Breguet, and Piaget. Three pieces are estimated at $250,000 to $350,000: Patek Philippe references 2499/100 and 1462, and a platinum Breguet ref. 3857. A Piaget ladies Kanthara is estimated at $200,000 – $300,000. Lot 198 is a Patek Philippe ref. 2499/100, manufactured in 1982. This 18K gold perpetual calendar chronograph with moon phases succeeded Patek’s first series-production perpetual calendar, the ref. 1518. Only 349 examples of ref. 2499 were manufactured over four different series. The reference remained in production until 1985. The pre-sale estimate is $250,000 to $350,000.This two-register stainless-steel chronograph, ref. 1463, was manufactured in 1955 and was retailed by Tiffany & Co. New York. Had the chance to try one on today. Tempted to get it. Anyone already purchased one and can kindly share their thoughts? For some weird reason i find the bezel a bit too overwhelming on the smaller dial. It looked more proportion on the 44 or 47 mm subs

Buying First Rolex
Hi all,I�m new to the forums and I am looking to buy my very first Rolex Datejust. I had a look on the official Rolex website and the price was ?8050 for a 36mm however when I go to find a retailer on the Rolex site they all have the model priced at an extra ?1500. Is this normal? Or will any official retailer sell the watch for the same price on the Rolex website?I want a brand new watch so ideally don�t want to go into a jeweller who deals in second hand watches. I don�t really care about getting a discount but I just don�t want to have to pay another ?1500 on top of Rolex�s retail price.

YM2 or SS Skydweller used pricing
Which of the two can you find at a better price?I'm noticing the Skydweller supply(excluding blue dial) is starting to catch up to the demand which leads me to believe pricing will slowly drop. YM2 Pricing seems to be at the 13-14kUSD mark or so I hear over in the TD section. What's your opinion?
