Orient Dress Watches: The Best Budget Option?
Some believe that the cornerstone of one's timepiece collection is a fine dress watch. Others, however, may prefer spending their hard-earned cash on rugged sport and tool watches that don't really work under a shirt cuff. Enter the Orient Watch Company. If you're a guy who doesn't wear dress watches all the time, but you're in a pinch and need a classier option, there aren't many better options for a dress watch with these requirements, at such an attainable price. So even if you are a tool watch guy, you will nevertheless inevitably find yourself needing to wear a dress watch once in a while: for a sister's wedding, a job interview, or accepting an Oscar at the Academy Awards C okay, George Clooney gets his comped by Omega, so never mind. That G-Shock or 18mm thick dive watch isn't going to cut it with a tux. And while there are dressier quartz watches widely available for reasonable prices, many a true watch lover is turned off by putting on anything but a true mechanical timepiece o
Another Daytona to AP RO thread...
Hi everyone,I never thought this would happen but I'm slowly being drawn into the Royal Oak models, particularly the 15300 and/or the 15400.I have half a mind to flip my SS Black Daytona for one, and wanted to get some thoughts on this. I always thought that AP was a fad type of watch, but after reading up on its history I have come to respect the brand, and the Royal Oak line (I've yet to warm up to the Offshore models, I find them too chunky for my wrist). My current Rolex collection consists of the Daytona, an Exp 1 39mm and an Explorer 2 40mm. I have several other watches from other brands that I consider iconic watches from that particular brand. The thing is, would it make good sense to flip my Daytona for the RO? My justification is that I already have two Rolexes, and, I guess at this point in time, I'm aiming for more variety in my collection. I'm also thinking that if the Royal Oak doesn't work for me in the long run, I could always flip it again. In terms of whether I like

Interest free instalments to fund a watch. Would you take it?
Would you personally prefer this method?Basically a cousin of mine wants to sell his BLRO. I have considered buying it off him.He has offered to make the payment method easier on me if I like. Basically to pay him 50% of his asking price up front, and the rest 10% each every month. No interest on it, but just to help me out.I do have the cash, but my account takes less of a hit, and I don't really feel a huge amount coming out of the account this way.Would you do it?
233 dot dial discussion...
Can someone enlighten me on this? What's the attraction exactly? Is it because it was done away with that it's more appealing? Is there more to it...Looking at a newer 233 to purchase, but this dot dial thing has me a bit confused.thanks!
