JCK 2015: Bovet’s New Virtuoso VII Takes the Stage in Vegas
Bovet Fleurier introduced the first two pieces in its Complications collection in 2014. The third makes its debut at this week's JCK Watch and Jewelry show at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.The new watch has a mouthful of a moniker �� Bovet Amadeo Fleurier Virtuoso VII Retrograde Perpetual Calendar�� and its complexity is as deep as the name implies. Like its predecessors in the collection �� the Monsieur Bovet and Virtuoso V �� the watch is outfitted with Bovet's Virtuoso II Specialty caliber.Also like previous Virtuoso models, it is essentially three timepieces in one thanks to its convertible Amadeo case, a concept pioneered by Bovet and first introduced in 2010, which enables the wearer to change it from wristwatch to pocketwatch to portable table clock with the push of a few buttons and the use of detachable straps and fasteners. And it can actually be considered nine watches in one when you consider that in each of these forms, the Virtuoso VII offers two distinctive reversible dials.

Stopped by the 57th St Boutique today...
I'm NYC on business I took the opportunity to swing by the Audemars Piguet boutique on 57th Street. The staff is very pleasant and I had a chance to spent 30 min with the watch maker showing me around. There are a lot of nice pieces in there that I can talk about but it was game over when I get to see the new 15202, aka Jumbo. At first one is a bit taken back how thin and light it is, which is of course because of the Cal 2121 movement, the thinnest automatic movement in the world with a center rotor. The movement is stunning through the display back. But what really makes this watch stand out is the dial. It is mesmerizing! Personally, I find the micro-tapisserie much more compelling than the regular tapisserie on the 15300/15400 or the mega-tapisserie on the Royal Oak Offshore line. The blue/grey color of the dial as a vintage vibe and I was told is ever so slightly different in each batch. Super OEM Breitling Croc strap on my vintage 1955 pre 806 V72 Navitimer
Got this well used Breitling OEM strap recently. Was just as I wanted it, nicely aged and full of vintage character and perfectly matched the watches patina. I am very impressed with the build, quality and thickness of these Breitling straps, almost like wrapping a live croc round the wrist. Rest in pics!

INCOMING! Sky Dweller
Just a quick post to introduce my new piece. Had the call two weeks ago from my AD and today was the first opportunity I could go to collect - it was a long two weeks! The watch has surpassed all my expectations, the white dial is amazing - it looks so different in different types of light, from silver in certain conditions to off white in others to matt white. Its really comfortable to wear and surprisingly easy to set. Anyways, I'll keep it brief as its late and been a long day.
