Top 10 Watches For Traveling
When it comes to categorizing watches, we tend to organize them by the strict purposes their styles were originally meant for. That translates into a world of dive watches, pilot watches, racing watches, formal watches, business watches, etcA category that only loosely exists in the traditional sense but that is nevertheless extremely important is "travel watches." What is a travel watch? Well, traditionally, a pocket watch was the original travel watch because it was designed to be portable. More recently, the travel watch has been a more ambiguous category of watches that serve travelers with a range of needs both functional and fashionable. The question we seek to answer in this article is "what are the elements of a good watch to wear while traveling?" Of course, the answer depends on where you are going, but you'll see a lot of commonalities between these watches despite there being many different types of timepieces that would nevertheless be good to travel with. You'll also find a
Tutima Watches' Secret Flight School
Seems as though a few times a week I am informed about a new pilot watch. Brands like to talk about how this feature helps pilots with this, and how aviators love that. Apparently someone uses a slide-rule bezel, and being able to see 12 timezones at once is useful. Without knowing what people who fly actually use and need, it is hard for me to discuss these pieces on a level above being a watch nerd. It is for that reason that I am happy to have finally got a taste for flight, and what aviator watches are trying to do, and trying to emulate.I am far from a pilot, but I did get a chance to finally do something in the sky. Tutima graciously invited me to check out their airfield near Salinas California. I call it the "secret Tutima air base" because until now I'd never heard of it - and neither would anyone else who didn't happen to be in King City or was in the business of flying. The place isn't just a small airport, but home of a very special school called the Tutima Academy of Aviati
The Hublot Atelier: The Hublot for when your other Hublot is in the Shop.
One of the most traumatic and stressful events the owner of a nice watch can experience is the painful process of sending your precious watch off into the unchartered vagaries and perilous possibilities of a factory service. Hublot's trying to ease the pain a little. The lengthy and costly factory service is one of the joys of owning a mechanical watch, and people deal with it in various ways. Some weep every time they glance at their unadorned wrist, others use it as an opportunity to buy a replacement watch.?Servicing also seems to be the point that most strains the relationship between brand and loyal customer: the consumer's lack of control over the process, and over their own watch can lead to tension, and often angry posts on the internet, very easily.? 2 OF 2 Hublot, who, aside from doing 'fusion' very well, also do a very good job at building and maintaining communities, have recognised this. In a very clever move, they have announced an "Atelier Watch," the horolo

DavidSW did it again, Million thanks to him !
Hi everyoneJust a little update on my AP purchase. Finally, the watch made it home. It wasn't an easy one but David was once again able to source the impossible. He was able to source a NIB 15300 forgotten somewhere. it is an old G series, but NEW, the impossible to source these days.Lucky enough, it is with me now and WOW, this is a real gem! Beauty of it can't be seen through pictures. Only in the hands and in the flesh, it does reveal it's true value and attention to details. I can never thank enough David for pursuing the quest of finding a LNIB, but ended up finding a NIB, even better :)This isn't the best of the pictures but as I have a busy day ahead and really wanted to share my experience, here it is.Cheers everyone.
