The Nomos Metro and Ahoi Atlantik
At Basel this year, Nomos has done something so surprising that, had this been Geneva instead of Basel and cars instead of watches, it would have made primetime news. ?Let me set the scene…Imagine that one manufacturer made the engines that powered most of the world's cars, but each carmaker stuck their own brand name on the rocker cover. ?So your Mercedes was really powered by the same engine as a Kia. ?That's pretty much what happens in Watchworld. ?Nivarox, part of the Swatch Group, manufacture the?assortiment, the collection of pallet, balance?wheel, hairspring and escape wheel used by most of the world's watchmakers. Now, imagine that engine maker decided it didn't want to sell to anyone except its own factories anymore. ?Can you imagine the implications for?every other brand's cost, supply chains, production lines, tooling, sales? ?That's exactly what Nivarox has done. ?It's said that soon it won't sell its?assortiment?to anyone outside Swatch Group. This has left the industr

March 1st adjustment - 5960 annual calendar proper procedure
Tomorrow will be March 1st and I will need to adjust my 5960 forward. So, my question is should I adjust the month forward first ... and then the date? Or, do I adjust the date first ... and then the month?Thank you, experts!
Well, The first cut"scratch" is the deepest...
I made it a whopping two weeks without any bumps or nicks, but tonight my new 5167 met the kitchen counter lol Luckily, I really have to hold it at the right angle to see it, but sad to see the new charm is wearing off. On, the other hand i know with my Daytona it builds Character. When ever i see the nicks and scratches it bring my back memories. How do you guys/girls keep your sanity when it comes to scratching? Or keep your watches so pristine?
Rolex Sea Dweller
Gents,Recently bought a 16600 SD and it is awesome! I pulled the crown out today to set the date and time after not wearing it for a week and the time setting to the last position of the crown only clicks. The hands will not move. Almost like the bezel is rotating sound. Any thoughts on what this is and how to get er fixed? Thanks Gents
