Watches NEWS
PO returned.
This is embarrassing guys, but confirms a lesson I should know by heart. In less than 15 days I returned the PO 2208.50. I was really happy to have it back, but the reason why I sold it in the first place was still there and nothing I could do about it. This is not the first time I buy a watch back and get rid of it again, but less than two weeks is impressive so I hope I'll never make this mistake again.
Pre-owned Speedmasters and Japan
I've been wondering why so many pre-owner Speedmasters for sale seem to be offered by Japan-based sellers?Perhaps it's due to Japanese collectors continuing to feel their country's economic malaise? Maybe is just something more basic as a far greater were sold in Japan. Omega might have a superior image (good marketing) as an up-market image compared to their competitors.Any similar observations from members here, or is it just me?Cheers!
another pilot has landed
here is the 5524G which i got yesterday (as mentioned in the other thread on the pilot that has landed). unfortunately i cannot wear it properly until the AD gets the shorter strap from PP. actually, i saw a pic of a 5524G with a dark blue croc strap from camille fournet, which i am thinking of ordering.other than that: amazing lume, amazingly good readability and cure of details. nevertheless it could be a great everyday watch. it is my first WG watch, which i like very much.bad news: my 5712R is gone:::((( well, you know how it goes, wife's rule said one watch in, one watch out:::))).ps: possibly the days where the 5524G was rare could be gone since apparently a whole bunch of them was delivered ton ADs in europe (don't know about asia and the US though).
Amazing...Resides in a deep shadow but is a Beautiful Rose Tudor.
I am Licking my wounds as I try to find the impossible Black Rose without success...Picked up this gorgeous watch in the meantime. I feel better. I know it's not as rare or talked about as much and collectors haven't latched into it yet.... But look at the colors!!! Yes it stands in a heavy shadow but just admire this one on its own personality!Seriously look at that dial and bezel!!! It's beyond beautiful!!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Question regarding late 80s/early 90s DJ dial history
Do you know roughly what the history of these two similar but different dials is? Which one was first? When did they make the change? Both are blue sunburst, correct?
